I am still in shock that he confessed and told the story(?).....and led them to her body...Hope he gets what he deserves....Karma...and so proud that she fought like a tiger and injured him enough to send him to the hospital

Since he pled guilty and there will not be a trial, does this mean Mighty Mickey's family will have her back sooner, since they can forgo all the extensive forensics that would've been needed for a trial?

Psychopaths are very creative, calculating, and deflective. The reason that BS Lavergne placed the bicycle at whiskey Bay was to deflect. It was due to Whiskey Bays tragic DTL history & to misdirect the investigation, imo..
Otherwise he would have placed it in the grave with Mickey.

You could be right - I'm not disputing you. But I also think there's a percentage (minority) that he maybe didn't think of the bike in back when he left her at the cemetery - it was dark and he was injured and in a hurry and he goofed. Now he's got a bike with him that he sure doesn't want to be seen, and so dumps it on the way to New Orleans. One thing to consider is that a daytime drop was riskier, and he had to have known the added risk. Were he planting it there as a ruse - being crafty, I'd lean more toward putting it there at night so as to minimize the risk. Maybe he was trapped by his own timeline, and had to get rid of it before arriving in NOLA, daylight be damned.

Maybe it's a combination of our theories... he goofed but then got crafty.

By the time he went to bury Mickey, the bike was already gone. I don't know why he didn't leave it with Mickey initially.... and I lean toward he made a mistake.

I only want to comment at the moment on Mrs. Shunick. I eyed her more closely than anyone...drawing faith and inspiration. The hero, the butterfly, the mighty Ms. Mickey...so easily reflected in her mother today. Also...on the Brandon Lavergne right side of the courtroom, with 3 front 'family' rows reserved...no one. I am literally quite sick right now.

There was a young lady on the third row that someone told me was a reporter.

Then an elderly lady and someone with her, also female. Not sure who they were but probably family.

Well, the document says that Lisa stayed with him for several days, and the way it's worded sounds to me like it was consensual. It wasn't until she wanted to leave to see her children and he refused to let her use his truck etc that he lost it and was beaten to death. I wonder if he was planning on killing her all along...

Yes, I wondered that too - how did Mickey get hold of the knife a second time? Two possibilities here that I can think of right now: 1. Thinking Mickey was unconscious, he put down the knife beside her as he began to attempt rape - and she was able to grab his knife, or 2. She had her own little knife or box cutter at the ready. JMO

I think the finger wound was hurting like hell and interfered with his focus causing him to let his guard down. With Mickey subdued, he probably laiid the knife down, but not to rape Mickey. Rather to use his other hand to hold onto that finger and try to stop the pain and bleeding. I get a little solace from imagining he moaned in pain like a wounded animal.

I wish I could have been there in the courtroom to see this murderous villain, but from the short video and stills I've seen so far, 'BS' Lavergne looks very unremarkable - no horns on his head of course - but his ordinary, dumpy, seemingly harmless appearance betrays his evil deeds. I can see now that he must have felt slightly inferior, not very attractive to women, and obviously felt he had to either pay an escort for sex, or *take* a woman at gunpoint or knifepoint. This makes me think his relationship with his girlfriend was indeed over, and so he felt he had no other options in his warped mind. Can anyone give us more description of his manner and behavior today in court please?

I was the one who took photos of LE out there. It was the only area we talked about. So dark.. But it's the shortcut to the bike path, that's why everyone rides that way.

I don't know where you were sitting, but I suspected a few sleuthers would be there. I, too, noticed the empty benches. I was in the fourth row, and as I was scribbling away, my handwriting got progressively worse as I heard the details. It was a surreal experience, for sure.

My take is a little different on Lisa - Sometimes he snaps. Remember his beat-down of his ex-wife at her workplace. No reason to punch her and throw her on the ground in public. Sounded to me like he and Lisa hung out consensually and he wanted her to stay as a "live-in" girlfriend, and he said no, and he snapped when he caught her trying to steal his keys and wallet.

With Mickey, however, I can't think that he meant to leave her alive, the way it went down. She wold have been able to report kidnapping if he let her go/she got away, and would have had his plate number. I can't help feeling that Mickey's case was an escalation with more of a foregone conclusion than Lisa.

Concentric, I can barely breathe, much less type what I feel. But briefly, since you asked...I feel Ms. Mickey has lost all justice in this life. The joys of all her dreams of the future.

Well from what I observed, this is what I can tell you: He was much shorter than I expected, probably not much taller than I am at 5'7" - not an imposing figure at all, and no breadth of shoulders at all. They just sort of blended into his body. It was just so striking compared to all the LE officers in front. He came in with shackles around the waist and hands, with no 5 o'clock shadow that I could distinguish. To me, he just kind of shuffled in, but not hiding or anything. At one point, I would swear I saw him wiping at his eyes, but who's to say for what reason. I think the word I read earlier, 'dumpy', is a pretty good description.

Was justice served today?
The definition of justice is the administering of deserved punishment.
He is behind bars for the rest of his natural life, so it seems justice has been served. He gets to live. His victims do not have that luxury. I believe that every day of the rest of his life will be plagued with visions of those he has murdered. I hope he will feel the fear and terror in his heart that he inflicted on each and every one of them, every single night that he closes his eyes and tries to sleep. I hope he fully repents his sins and does everything humanly possible to save his soul. But in all honesty, even though I am firmly against the death penalty, I hope his life is a short one, because I can see no benefit in the continuation of it. God will make that decision one way or another, possibly with the aid of a fellow prisoner. JMO
