Former Penn State President Graham Spanier has been charged with several counts

The verdict was a big win for Freeh. It was also a win for Penn State. At least PSU DID NOT cover up the cover up, thanks to the Freeh report. Just don't tell that to the Paterno loyalists. They won't be satisfied until either the statue goes back up or the university is burned to the ground.

The million dollar question is with whom did RFG reach that agreement with.

If so, then you really stepped in the lion's den (get it? lion's den. haha). But seriously...whoever that poster is I can't pull up his previous posts. I have a feeling the admin have limited said poster's profile.

JJ, are you by posting on BWI? I thought I recognized you there.

Former Penn State President Graham Spanier has been charged with several counts

Curley and Schultz plead guilty to child endangerment charges. Does this mean they're going to roll on Spanier? I hope Spanier doesn't plead. I want there to be a trial so we can learn what happened (or least all the different versions), but I suspect everyone is ready to "get this behind us"...

    Found Deceased SC - Brittanee Drexel, 17, Myrtle Beach, 25 April 2009 - #18

There used to be a now defunct website called Charleston **** Life which chronicled the "revolving door" judicial system in Charleston county. It's the judges; not so much LE. The FBI wouldn't investigate; the Justice department should. Don't hold your breath that's going to happen.

Found Deceased AZ - Brian Histand, 25, Phoenix, 15 May 2013

I watched it and that's why I'm here. Of course I'm shocked to learn his body was discovered since it was not mentioned on the show. The entire episode seemed a bit off. There was no mention of possible drug use, despite BH staying up all night cleaning and walking around naked in an open...

    All things Joe Paterno

The judge's first sentence reads: “This case arises out of a series of heinous crimes perpetrated against a multitude of children over a 40-year period.” He's read the depositions, so I'm going to consider 76 to be the date of the first confirmed incident. If PSU had wanted to...

If he was here in 2016, I think he would be wishing he could disappear, regardless of whether he was within legal and ethical boundaries in deciding not to prosecute Sandusky.

Surely you're not saying that it's not illegal or a violation of legal ethical canons to ignore allegations of childhood sexual abuse. I must be missing something. btw, CNN is reporting that Paterno ordered a victim to drop an allegation as far back as 1971...

Speaking of Central Pennsylvania Gothic, I saw that the state of PA denied Spanier's request to travel to Saudi Arabia.

GUILTY TX - Deputy Darren Goforth, 47, fatally shot, Harris County, 28 Aug 2015

Even the Daily Mail is sparse on details about the perp's background. Strange.

I believe a physically fit male with a law enforcement background could possibly make it happen. His chances of success would increase significantly if RFG knew and trusted him. It's a stretch. However, it's more realistic than a professional hit man, IMO.

This scenario would be more plausible to me if RFG's disappearance occurred closer to the time Sandusky was arrested. What else is currently going on or has gone in Centre County that approaches the level of scandal of the Sandusky/PSU mess? After all, there is plenty corruption in all parts of...

If bloggers are required to produce 2 or 3 entries a week, CDT should expect a lot of fluff. The quality of their blogs will suffer.

I don't understand how we can pin down an exact date RFG closed the case, besides a brief mention in the Freeh Report, I believe, that he decided not to press charges a few days after receiving Seasock's report. But some of Schreffler's public comments don't appear to support that conclusion...

The more I think about the 98 investigation, the less it makes sense. According to the below story, Tom Harmon "closed" the investigation. Isn't the case closed when the DA says it is? Why was Schreffler still investigating over a week after RFG had decided not to press charges? BTW...

BBM So the only confirmation we have that RFG didn't prosecute due to lack of evidence is the testimony of Detective Schreffler? Here's a newspaper interview in which Schreffler describes how the decision went down: Instead, then-Centre County District Attorney Ray Gricar told Mr. Schreffler...
