Great idea for the long pine cones. I have all kinds of these in my yard. For the zinnias, I had to order smaller, shorter cones from Amazon.

I should be able to finish the tea quilt this week! I did my best to square it up. I have a brown fabric for the binding. I was going to make it a wall hanging but decided not to. I used directional prints which are not perfectly lined up. It will be a nice quilt for the back of my couch.

That is absolutely gorgeous!!

I forced myself to stay up and finish the teacup quilt. I had a few puckers that I didn’t bother to fix. It’s the perfect size 58” square for a lap quilt. It looks nice on the back of the couch. It will keep me warm while I drink my tea!

I started this quilt in 2019 and struggled with the directions. I’d set it aside for months. I’m happy it’s finished.

My niece had her first baby so I made her a cat quilt. It’s bright jewel tones and she’ll likely need sunglasses. Ha!

When I make a baby quilt I always add a few things from the remnants. This time I did a doll quilt, pillow with a carry handle, and a toy bag for her to drag around. I had also ordered 2 interactive books.

I’ve already sent the quilt & they love it. They don’t know they’re getting the box of extras.

Wow! I love the quilt and all the extras! Very creative!

My sister was babysitting today when the box of cat quilt extras arrived. It was my nieces first day back to work. I addressed a letter to the baby telling her about her two aunts (my two girls, 25 & 29).

The books were chosen based on what my girls grew up to be. My oldest is a marine scientist who does research on fish in the ocean. My youngest is a vet tech applying to vet school. I shared stories of my girls childhood so the baby would know why there is a doll quilt, a treasure bag, a pillow and interactive books.

This is my sisters text:

I was babysitting, it was her first day back to work. Your package arrived while I was there. Such an amazing heart warming letter and amazing gifts. You are truly an amazing and gifted Sister and Great Aunt. Her dad opened the letter and was so moved. He said “We have to save this for when she can read”

When we bought our new place there were rolls of barbwire in the pasture, hung a couple on the fence and joked they were wreaths. Which sort of spurned the idea. 2492EF48-63A1-4696-AD10-390FFBCE37B1.jpeg3EC5A34F-DB27-41BB-AFEA-0CFA84741022.jpegFE39D0C0-5EA8-4241-9059-581B71A97C5A.jpeg
