Man cleared of wife's death during nightmare

LONDON (AP) � A British man who said he strangled his wife during a nightmare about fighting off an intruder has been found not guilty in her death.

Prosecutors had originally asked Brian Thomas be found not guilty by reason of insanity in the 2008 death of his wife, Christine, and be sent to a psychiatric hospital.

On Friday chief prosecutor Iwan Jenkins said �it is now clear that the psychiatrists feel that that would serve no useful purpose and the risk of reoccurrence is very, very small.�

The judge ordered the jury return a verdict of not guilty. Thomas, of south Wales, had accepted he killed his wife of 40 years.

The jury was told that Thomas, 59, had a sleep disorder and was in a state of automatism � where his mind had no control over his body � when he strangled Christine. WTF?

CASS COUNTY, TX (KLTV) - Two people are found shot to death in East Texas, and there are no known suspects for the crime. It happened in Cass County on County Road 1114, located off Highway 59 between Linden and Atlanta Texas.

The victims have been identified as Sarah Olson of Queens City, and Jay McDaniel of Hooks, Texas. Both were 30-years-old.

Police say McDaniel was a prison guard with a TDC unit in New Boston. As for Olson we're still learning details on her. We do know the victims were found dead in a Ford Mustang, Wednesday morning.

Thursday, forensic investigators were searching the car for clues and finger prints. The Mustang was found on a dead-end dirt county road Wednesday Morning around 10am.

Authorities say Olson and McDaniel's bodies were found in the back seat.

Christie said Tuesday that the Capital Area Major Case Squad initially investigated the case. More than $8,000 in rewards was offered, but no arrests have been made.
Further probes were later conducted by the sheriff's department and Kansas Department of Investigation. Authorities tried unsuccessfully during the 1980s and 1990s to link serial killer Tony Joe LaRette to the slaying. LaRette, who lived in Topeka at times during the 1970s, was executed in 1995 in Missouri for a murder committed in 1980 in St. Charles, Mo.

Why won�t the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) give the OK for a Truckers Network to help find missing children?

In a nutshell KlaasKids along with Clarity Media want to put in TV service with 70 channels of programming directed at the long haul trucker in hundreds of Flying J Truck Stops. This programming would include information on Amber Alerts, and missing people. Since it involves all aspects of TV including, satellite, local programming, national programming, the FCC has to give the OK.

THE FCC HAS NOT GIVEN PERMISSION FOR THIS PROJECT TO GO FORWARD. DEATH ROW INMATES AND CONVICTED TERRORISTS HAVE EASY ACCESS TO TV, BUT NOT LONG HAUL TRUCK DRIVERS!!! THIS IS AN OUTRAGE THAT MUST BE CORRECTED. TRUCKER TV WILL SAVE THE LIVES OF COUNTLESS CHILDREN.

Until the FCC approves this project nothing can move forward.
2 million truckers would see the Amber Alerts, 2 million truckers would see the stories about missing teenagers who end up prostituting themselves at TRUCK STOPS.

Do you see the potential here for many happy endings? Truckers are our eyes and ears on the highways. You let these truckers know there is an Amber Alert for a small child you know they will be watching and looking for them.
It was a long haul trucker who caught the D.C. Sniper but ONLY because he was watching TV. Imagine how much sooner the D.C. sniper would have been caught if this information was immediately available on TV networks at all Flying J Truck Stops.

Ark. cop suspended after using Taser on girl, 10

A police officer who used a stun gun on an unruly 10-year-old girl after he said her mother gave him permission has been suspended - not for using the Taser but for not having a video camera attached when he used it.
Mayor Vernon McDaniel said officer Dustin Bradshaw was suspended Wednesday for seven days with pay. McDaniel said the suspension is for not following department procedures because he didn't have the camera on.

This is really sad--I hadn't seen it posted yet. Zoelina Williams' body was found at Aquatic Park in Berkeley; on Sunday, kayakers found the body of a baby who has now been identified as her 17 month old son, Jashon. Curtis Martin III is under arrest. They believe he beat and shot Zoelina because she may have witnessed Jashon's murder. Here's the rub: he beat another girlfriend's son to death 15 years ago.

What a beautiful looking baby...how could anyone do this? I hope this disgusting monster will go to prison for life this time. :furious:
