I agree, anyone who can kill like she did, and plot the way she does ... Is NO scared wallflower.

But I keep thinking the murderer is going to come up against someone just like her, even someone worse than her. Someone who has been locked up already for a very long time. I think the murderer will not last long in prison. That's my wish anyway.

I think his family would know what he thought about the death penalty. I also think that they would not be wanting the death penalty if it was something that he didn't agree with. I trust that they know what he would want.

Not necessarily; can't assume he ever had this discussion. And, in human incarnation maybe he would think one way and in spirit form, with access to much more universal wisdom than on this earth plane, maybe he thinks differently. Humans are the only species that desires and enacts revenge.

And then there are those that are not incarcerated that are not counted, say CA for one. I'm thinking that study needs to be updated to see what todays numbers are.

I think so too and I think many unsolved cases where done by females and were never even looked at because even LE has tunnel vision and think a horrific homicide must have been carried out by a male perp.

I think that women are the least caught when they commit heinous crimes.

When 59% of the children who are horribly abused/neglected and generally maltreated by their own biological mothers it shows females really aren't the kinder gentler sex society likes to believe.

I have said before many times, some of the worst homicides committed were carried out by females. Many many of them bizarre overkills yet they still do not get punished the same.

If she gets LWOP I'm sure she'll think she won temporarily. But who cares? We shouldn't care what her evil mind thinks. She's a convicted murderer who's dying in prison. She lost. Justice was served.

Juan did everything humanly possible to fight for Travis. He's a brilliant prosecutor and a good man. He was able to obtain a first-degree murder conviction with the likes of Zervakos on the jury. I thank him a thousand times for everything. IMO.

Agree to disagree? Her ex boyfriends said she was strong physically. And we do not know how it happened with Travis. Respectfully.

I agree. I think it would be unwise to underestimate Jodi and her ability to harm or kill others. Let's just say I would not be happy if I had a relative who worked at perryville and was in charge of her block. Jodi is the worst kind of killer she's intelligent, cunning, sneaky, resourceful, motivated and manipulative. If she wanted to kill someone while in jail and not in isolation she could do it no question in my mind. And she has something now that she didn't before killing Travis she has nothing to loose so now she's even more dangerous.

I get confused between the two threads and only have time for bits of this one. I guess I misunderstood the meaning of the sidebar thread vs. this one.

Bummer. Just got back from taking DD and her flute quartet to perform for the County Board of Supervisors! Was hoping I had missed the text alert. Guess this isn't a good sign, although they are giving it due diligence.

Good point Rose. We should just be grateful we got a murder one conviction.

It's not revenge. It's justice for a heinous crime. Sentencing someone who committed a crime is justice, not revenge.

That is what I look just after having botox. Do they have a spa in jail?

What are those bubbles she now has under the skin of her face? This is not like normal aging.....it looks like something else.

Believe me, I think this was not her first planning and I don't think it would be her last. But she would not be any good toe to toe. She has to have the upper hand by making sure her prey is incapacitated or completely off guard. I mean think about it, Who would expect to be murdered after someone just had sex with you and took pictures and let you do all you wanted??? No one.

Female psychopathy is rare. Hare estimates only 20% of all incarcerated prisoners are psychopathic, including men. Jodi shouldn't be allowed access to others because most people incarcerated aren't psychopathic. Many female prisoners are incarcerated for non-violent offenses, like drugs or prostitution. In 2009, prisoners convicted of non-violent crimes (I'm including all crimes not against another human being) accounted for 60% of Perryville's population. Murderers ranked less than 10%.

I believe JA will be a Max-er. This will mean she won't be mixing with prisoners who are housed at other levels, at least for now, and the least secure level probably never.

"I will be Queen soon."

She thinks she has one particular juror in her pocket.

I've lost track of the jury's deliberation time today - breaks, recesses, JSS instructions, etc. Any idea when they will adjourn for the day?

Forgot about the Pinellas 12? You never know what a jury will do when the defendant is a "young, attractive" white female.

That case was an anomaly. The majority of Florida jurors are actually hard on criminals.

They have gotten it right a thousand more times that the Pinellas clueless got it wrong.

#jodiarias is escorted out and smiles to her side.

How many of us would like to slap that smile off her face?

Slap her? BS.... I would like to bust her face with a fist.
