Investigators are looking at every piece of evidence and reviewing everything they've gathered so far in the Haleigh Cummings Case.

In a tape William "Cobra" Staubs dug up from March 31, 2009, he spoke with Misty S.--the stepdaughter of an accused sexual predator Daniel Snodgrass.

Daniel Snodgrass is the man who tried donate furniture to the Haleighbug Center and ended up causing trouble at the building.

Missing-children's experts involved in both cases say the cooperation of Somer's family and her community coupled with some creative and aggressive detective work by the Clay County Sheriff's Office led to the girl's discovery.

At the same time, some say inconsistencies in the account given by the last person thought to have seen Haleigh late Feb. 9 has hindered the efforts of investigators with the Putnam County Sheriff's Office.

"In Clay County, they said, 'You know, we've got a little girl missing. Let's go to work,'" said Tim Miller, founder of Texas EquuSearch, who is familiar with both cases. "They've got a family that's being honest. They've got a community that's being honest. They got right in on it, and they just did a tremendous job."

Though Clay detectives have received widespread praise for finding Somer so soon, experts say Putnam officials have done their job well, too.

"Putnam County [investigators] did everything right," Miller said this week. "Unfortunately they didn't have a damn thing to work with."

They had started searching Somer's neighborhood quickly, including the trash coming out of the Grove Park neighborhood, where the girl was last seen walking home from school early last week, according Clay Sheriff Rick Beseler.

The cases here gain national prominence and rarely have happy endings. After the media fanfare is over, the children's names stick out as sad reminders: Carlie Brucia. Jessica Lunsford. Trenton Duckett. Caylee Anthony. Haleigh Cummings. And now Somer Thompson.

According to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, Florida generally ranks third in the nation &#8212; behind only California and Texas &#8212; for reported missing persons, most of whom are children, registered sex offenders and the number of "stereotypical kidnappings," the most serious kind of stranger abductions.

When the search began for Haleigh Cummings and Somer Thompson, two North Florida girls who disappeared this year from their neighborhoods, officers immediately started questioning registered sex offenders living near their homes.

Investigators spoke to 44 sex offenders within a 5-mile radius of Haleigh's Putnam County home, where she was last seen on Feb. 9.

"We have found plenty of cases where there have been multiple (victims) where the person was not in the system at all," she said. "Some of the sex offenders who have the most victims probably have never been or will never be identified."

Hank Thomas “Tommy” Croslin Jr. was booked in to the Putnam County jail Thursday morning at 11:40 and charged with misdemeanor narcotic equipment-possession or use and a felony drug charge for possession of a controlled substance without a prescription.

973.The Sky spoke with Lt. Johnny Greenwood to ask if Croslin's arrest had anything to do with rumours of an ambulance call to 116 Tyler regarding a 42-year-old man frothing at the mouth and how this arrest might impact other cases pending against Croslin. Greenwood replied:

"I have spoken with our Communications Center and we have not had a rescue call at 116 Tyler Lane today.


Just weeks ago Misty and Ronald divorced and young Haleigh is still missing.

Hank Thomas Croslin, Jr., was charged with possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia after he was found slumped over in the front seat of a van near a school bus stop in Satsuma.
Putnam County investigators who responded to a report of a non-responsive person said they were told Croslin, whose sister Misty Croslin, 17, was the last person to see Haleigh, had not moved after dropping his son off at the bus.


He told deputies he had dropped his son off at 8 a.m. and taken a nap because he was sleepy, according to a police report.

Authorities said the arrest is unrelated to the disappearance of Haleigh, who remains missing.

Deputies found methadone, hydrocodone and other narcotics in the van during a search just before 9 a.m. Thursday.

Croslin Jr. lives about a block from the intersection of Buffalo Bluff Road and Tyler Street in Satsuma where he was awakened by rescue personnel, according to a Putnam County Sheriff's Office report.

He was charged and jailed in lieu of $1,500 bail.

Hank Croslin Jr., was found lying in the front seat of a van on Tyler Street in Satsuma about 8:56 a.m., according to the Putnam County Sheriff's Office. Rescue personnel arrived about the same time as deputies and woke Croslin up.

Deputies saw a prescription pill bottle and a plastic bag with pills in the car. A sheriff's report said that when deputies questioned Croslin about the pills, he told them the pills belonged to his father and were left in the van by him. Croslin reportedly told deputies he didn't know the pills were in the van.

Croslin's wife, Lindsey, came to the scene along with Hank Croslin Sr. he said some drugs had been stolen from his house the night before.

The drugs found in the van include alprazolam, hydrocodone, methadone, cyclobenzaprine and oxycodone, the report stated.

He was charged with possession of a controlled substance, a third-degree felony, and possession of drug paraphernalia, a first-degree misdemeanor, and was being held at the county jail on $1,508 bond.

In a news release, the Putnam County Sheriff's Office said it was not giving interviews regarding the arrest as it "does not have any bearing on the Haleigh Cummings investigation, and we do not want subsequent arrests, such as this one, to cause distractions for our investigative team."

Haleigh Update: Bar Complaint Against Former Lawyer Picazio Filed By Crystal Sheffield Dismissed

One of the findings in the complaint was rather harmful to Crystal Sheffield and the perception some may have of her:

"...Ms. Picazio also contends that your current living situation, health concerns, inability to work, and drug addiction/seizures prevented her from filing a petition for a change in custody. Bar Complaint Against Attorney in Haleigh Case Dismissed, Entire File Released

In the complaint, Crystal Sheffield alleged that Kim Picazio violated Rule 4-1.6 by disclosing confidential information concerning her representation of Crystal related to the search and investigation of Haleigh Cummings.
Crystal also contend that Ms. Picazio did not act with diligence in filing a modification of her child support. Ms. Picazio responded to the allegations in the complaint and rebuttal with specific denials of each allegation and a detailed history of her involvement in the case.

UPDATED: Brother of Haleigh's Former Stepmom Arrested: Battery-No Bond

Tommy Croslin, the brother of the woman who is the last person to seeing missing 6-year-old Haleigh Cummings of Satsuma, FL is once again behind bars in Putnam County. Croslin was arrested Thursday on a battery charge for fighting with his father and is being held without bond.

Lisa, Kristina Renee Prevatt, and were present at the house during the disturbance and so was a 17-year-old white female whose name was redacted from the report.

The fact that Kristina Rene "Nay Nay" Prevatt and the unidentified white 17-year-old female witness to the fight Thursday morning--widely believed to be Misty Croslin--who were both at the scene has raised the eyebrows of many including Private Investigator William "Cobra" Staubs.

This time, Misty Croslin's brother is facing domestic violence charges.

Putnam County deputies said the arrest stems from an argument he had with his father over DVDs.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) and the Putnam County Sheriff's Office on Tuesday arrested Hank Thomas Croslin, Sr., 41, of Satsuma, Fla. for doctor shopping.

The investigation revealed that Croslin obtained approximately 300 Oxycodone and Hydrocodone pills from three different physicians between April and May 2009. None of the prescribing doctors were aware that the others had prescribed the controlled substances. This practice is known as doctor shopping, a third-degree felony.

He was booked into the Putnam County Jail.

Misty Croslin Cummings' dad joins Putnam jail report

There&#8217;s little new information about the disappearance of Haleigh Cummings, the 5-year-old Satsuma girl who has been missing since February.

Hank Thomas Croslin Sr., 41, the father of Misty Croslin Cummings &#8212; the last person to see Haleigh &#8212; was arrested Tuesday at his Satsuma home. He was charged with withholding information from a doctor and fraudulently obtaining prescription drugs.

Even though this latest arrest of Misty's father is not related to Haleigh's case, the Putnam County Sheriff's Office said investigators intend to question Croslin Sr. to determine if he has any knowledge of the events that took place the night the then-5-year-old went missing.

The Sheriff's Office said although the arrest is not related to Haleigh's disappearance, investigators intend to question Hank Croslin to see if he knows anything about the night the girl went missing.

The Sheriff's Office said it believes there are inconsistencies in Misty Croslin's account of what happened the night of Feb. 9. Haleigh was reported missing the following day.

Interviews with other members of the Croslin family have not helped investigators clarify what exactly happened that night.

Annette Sykes, Haleigh's great-grandmother, said her family is having a hard time this Thanksgiving.

"If it weren't for Junior, we probably wouldn't," Sykes explained, "but he has to have some kind of normal life."

As for the investigation, Johnny Greenwood with the Putnam County Sheriff's Office said detectives and an FDLE agent are reviewing tips they have received about the Haleigh Cummings case.

A local hardware store also is hanging up letters reading that read "Happy Thanksgiving," and "Pray for Haleigh."
