In my opinion, Websleuths is fortunate enough to have the best of the best on the Internet as far as sleuthing, researching, sorting out facts, analyzing and theorizing. Having said that, it's disheartening when we have a forum like this where we have to have all moderators on deck snipping, removing, verifying links, messaging our members and giving timeouts for TOS violations. When something requires this much time and the attention of so many of our moderators, we have to ask whether it's worth it to even allow the case to be discussed.
We feel this is an important case. As yet, all facts are unknown and for that reason, we're having to curtail some of the discussion until such time more facts are known. Please show our moderators and us that you can abide by our rules for this forum, otherwise, we may have to pull it altogether.
It's that simple and it's up to you. If you've had posts snipped or removed, check yourself and make some adjustments. You aren't required to respond to every post. You can make the decision to alert the post if it is a blatant violation of TOS and move on.
I'm going to repeat that it's your choice. We're three clicks away from removing this forum.
Please consider what I've said and carry on with what you do best and what makes Websleuths proud.
