omg! did anyone else catch this? so-with that last approach, JW was talking to the judge quite intently, and for a long time-while doing so, it did appear that JM kind of checked her out so to speak.......ok, so when JW goes back to table, that's the very first thing Arias tells her....she smiles and tells JW that JM was checking her out and then JW smiled too!

wth!...this is a DP case....old habits die hard for JA if that's what's on her mind at this point

Lol. I noticed Juan checking her out too. She does have an attractive body so who can blame him.

Is it possible that the formal score sheets don"t match the yellow sheet?

Eeek...that would be so busted! And might explain the ethics angle and why JM is so animated.

Do you think were heading toward the doc tampering with evidence?

OH MY I have never seen Juan on FIRE LIKE THIS!!!!!!!

I see I have a lot to look forward to tonight when I watch on YouTube. I knew it was going to get real good once Juan started in on Mr Psycho-babble. :excited:

Okay, so JM was able to follow up for what? 2 minutes? Maybe 6? With all the interruptions. approaches, and overruled objections? The 'doctor' sending a book he said had no effect, but just said would help with his evaluation -even tho he didn't know if she read it, and not only filling in but re-scoring her answers will stay with them - even if they forget their questions, as well as Wilmott's follow up. Well, at least the jury will get to think about JM over the weekend.

Wilmott smirking and whispering with Jodi like bff's is disturbing. I hope the Jury sees it.

I am watching HLN so way behind. Wilmott is reading Travis' "threatening" texts. If I were a juror, I would be longing to know what had triggered them. They clearly didn't come out of nowhere. And Jodi didn't journal about them, so again, her reporting is not trustworthy. My mind is boggled. What is JW thinking??

So I need this case to be over in the next 4 weeks. Two of my own cases enter heavy discovery phase and I will be too busy. We need to hurry this thing along.

I try to always read the depos in my cases too. Some of them are hum dingers. Or I try to watch the video on Livenote.

You're right there are many great attorneys. But there are few "BORN LITIGATORS". Juan is one.

Glad he's on the side of the Good Guys.

I haven't been able to watch all of the trial. I have a question that maybe some of you can help me with. I am pretty much the same height and weight as TA but 20 years older. I can think of no way a 115 pound female could stab me 29 times unless I was physically restrained. After the first stab, I would be in fight for survival mode. I might not survive, but she would surely be at least seriously injured if not killed. You might get stabbed once if it was from behind. The second stab would be a glancing blow as you turned towards your attacker. There wouldn't be a 3rd stab wound except maybe a defensive wound to the hands or forearms. I would think any 200 pound man could incapacitate any 115 pound woman with a single blow. From that point it would go very badly for the smaller incapacitated attacker. I believe the gunshot was forensically proven to have occurred after the stabbings. But even at that a .25 pistol is not immediately debilitating under most circumstances. It makes me wonder if that's why JA removed the ropes from the scene. Were they used in the commission of the crime? Was TA tied up either as sex play or at gunpoint before the knife attack occurred?

But there are attorneys that specialize in the penalty phase. Andrea Lyon is one that comes to mind.

Yes, absolutely. But they are not called mitigation specialists.

Can the jury take home their notes or do they have to leave them in the jury room? ty

they will have to leave them. They stay in the Courthouse.

Can the jury take home their notes or do they have to leave them in the jury room? ty

No, they are typically instructed to leave them on their seats anytime they leave the courtroom (even breaks) and the bailiff keeps them locked up.

Personally I believe his. But that's just because I believe he's probably got NPD.

The evidence for which, during his testimony, is frankly pretty overwhelming. And I should know, I've got 35 years exper-...okay, not really. ;)

Scarily little known fact but psychology and psychiatry often attract disordered individuals as career fields as an attempt to self-medicate. (Before I get jumped on though - they're the exception and not the rule. There are a lot of compassionate, professional, healthy and normal practitioners too.)

I've heard that too.

Can the jury take home their notes or do they have to leave them in the jury room? ty

No, they cannot take them home, they are left in the courtroom and a bailiff will lock them up.

I wish to heavens that I was off work on Monday. I would love to see Juan finish his spanking of the enamored doctor. I'll be hurrying home, for sure. I have never seen an attorney energize a courtroom, or make the defense look like they need fresh undies, like this man does. It's amazing to watch.

The jury was left with his words for the weekend break. They've been through enough sidebars to just zone them out. I think they were paying rapt attention, and I also think that they had this "expert" figured out from the get-go.

Faith in justice for Travis and his loved ones grows stronger every day <3

JM may have been wondering why her butt looks so large in those tight clothes she wears. I certainly doubt he finds her attractive or a worthy peer...

Martinez checking Willmott?? Highly doubtful. :twocents:
