Yes, although he will be an outcast and no one will be willing to give him a job and he will most likely move interstate or overseas or something, i know many people in their 50's/60's that live very active lives and still do the sorts of things they would have done in their 20's/30's and life...

I am in Barossa too. I cant believe this, such a light sentence, quite shocked really, he got a good deal in my opinion. I just hope he suffers in there. I dont know if prisons are really like they show on TV where people get targeted and picked on. I hope he makes no friends in there. Now i...

If anyone managed to save a PDF copy of the apology letter please PM me. Thanks. there really is so much to this that we and the police do not know because downie has refuse to speak.. Theres no way he can be on the streets again. If he cant just 'snap' this one time whos to say he wont just do...

MAYBE if it was 3 quick gunshots it may be a little different, but common, he sliced up 3 people with a knife, the house was covered in blood, this was a viscious attack, the victims no doubt would have died a slow painful death and fought for their lives. It cant really get any worser than...

They already said they wont be pursuing life with out parole (according to the articles online). Apparantly this case does not reach the bar set by the bodies in the barrels case and the fact that he was young, with no prior criminal history and pleaded guilty, supposedly gets a lighter sentence...

It was mentioned in the comments in the aussie criminals link i posted above. The 'chilling insight' video is indeed quite chilling. I found a few more articles on adelaide now. Some of the lies he told were just plain stupid. He said it was a man in black clothes and a green shopping bag...

In that video i just posted it says that about the liying. So i guess the reason there is not many more details is because hes refusing to speak and liying all the time he does say anything. Apparantly on the court SA site there may be a transcript in a few days? What must his mother...

Thanks for that. I like how your refer to downie as 'it' He was 18, old enough to do the crime old enough to do the time. Yes he probably was lacking maturity but thats no excuse or reason for a lighter punishment. Would like to know why he re dressed her in clean clothes. Did they ever...

Can anyone who was there today give a bit of a summary of what went on? I saw quick snippets on the channel 9 news but it was all too quick to absorb. Well i just read a few articles online, no doubt more detailed info will probably come out. The whole thing of how it all panned out is a...

Far out, pregnant? really? i guess we did hear rumours that she was pregant and Jason tried to 'remove' the baby. It seems like a lot the stuff that was supposedly just made up hearsay is ending up being true and there has been some truth to those early leaks.

Gulilty plea. So what does this mean? Lighter sentence? We will get to hear what really happend? Mrs G returns! Yes so where are all the doubters now? I am surprised the rape charge has been dropped. Does not mean it did not happen though. They just must not have got a good bit of...
