So sad - heard this late last night but still not much out there in terms of details.

My heart breaks for these sailors and their loved ones...Really seems like several bad decisions in a row.

Prayers for the Schwab family; what a horrible tragedy. I remembered watching the testing of this ride on Travel channel; and am not sure why the age requirement was relaxed. I would also say that while I'm a big fan of these adrenaline type rides, this one's raft doesn't look safe to me...

It is unfortunate that so few "questionable" cases get the publicity - but I do think that these high profile cases help those not in the limelight - in that it gets the public thinking about our justice system, and how careful we must really be prior to locking someone up for life, or worse...

Any thought of mine giving him benefit of the doubt is gone at this point. Disgusting display of disregard for decency. Glad it's down, but the damage is done. Twice.

I honestly wonder if SA thought that since he'd prevailed and was proven to be wrongfully convicted; that no court would dare convict him again? I feel sometimes like his interviews etc., are scripted to obtain sympathy; and that we only glimpse a tiny taste of the real person.

If you are in an abusive situation; you walk a tightrope. If you leave, you don't know what they are up to, such as plotting to bring harm to you or your family. If you stay, you don't know when the next time will be. Once you've been abused, you try to control it, and you want to believe...

I am convinced he committed the murder; and that he intimidated his nephew into participating. I also think the police wanted to be darn sure that he was convicted, so helped out with some evidence. The main concern at this point for me is what I feel is unfair tactics with Brendan.

I think it's good to have a journalist go in and report on these cases; and bring things to light. We may not like how it goes, but the fact is; there are questions in both cases that need to be discussed. Juries don't always get it right; neither do judges. The journalist or filmmaker who...

I am finding Mr. Nurmi's book really interesting - and obviously amazingly cathartic for him :). He brings up some very good points about "how we got there". Really sad for both families, and of course all those affected, including the lawyers.
