I totally agree. It could just be a coincidence, but considering their professions I’d be completely surprised that it’s not a family member of someone convicted by their testimony, or a client himself.

I’m a former detective, and with a cell phone on 911 the computer can only give you a general location based on the closest tower the call bounced off of, unlike a house phone that’s registered to an address. So unless the person says where they are, it’s hard to pinpoint exactly where to go...

Because just like any other citizen they have a right to privacy. Granted it might solve more cases, and I would’ve had no problem giving mine while I was an officer, but it still falls under the 4th amendment. Same reason the data bases from 23 and Me, etc... are not searchable to police.
