    The Springfield Three--missing since June 1992 - #6

I knew the basic concept of Grand Juries and never had much of an opinion about them. After reading this, I find them more of an anachronism of modern investigation/criminology. I didn’t not know that only half or so States in the US continues to use them, while the rest of the World has...

The so-called Grand Jury 3 (GJ3) is mentioned here a lot. I always thought I knew the basic concept of a grand jury, and what they are and aren’t. But for the curious, read more. Grand juries in the United States - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

    The Springfield Three--missing since June 1992 - #6

Found a very odd story, reading another missing person’s case, which folks here might enjoy. Lady in a small town in Washington State was to pick up her children at day care one day in 1993, never shows up. Missing...feared dead. Boom, suddenly reappears in Southern California in 2011 when...

Good summation, Haunts... That’s pretty much where the consensus is, but two points. 1. The ‘dig issue’ is really a lose/lose for LE. While they may have harder information to make a pass on this, I wouldn’t be too warm and fuzzy over the method it was explored (psychics). Further...

Identified! OH - North Bend, 'Pearl Lady' 606UFOH, 55-75, Nov'06 - Barbara Precht

It’s intriguing, but I doubt that’s all it is. It’s my understanding DNA has been submitted on both sides of this, so just department bureaucracy and computers stand in the way. After following the 3MW’s case for years, I’d put money against a match. But, this case is so poor with hard...

    The Obscene Phone Calls

Mule, if you could chime in on the ‘official story’ about the phone calls, or some greater clarity, I’m uncertain. 1. Was it possible for local call traffic to be logged, in those days, and in this circumstance ? Particularly INCOMING calls ? 2. Was any such log kept and sequestered by...

    The Obscene Phone Calls

You make a good point, about Janelle and Mike, that morning. I’d chalk it up to a ‘youthful indiscretion.’ To reiterate my previous point, I was that age in close to that period and I would not have behaved that way in 1985. But, people handle things differently. I do think the ‘First...

The Columbine remark was somewhat flippant, regarding the additional security measures that were implemented and how free flowing information was to visitors and so on. Like the airport security after 9/11. Touchy feely but won’t stop terrorism. Fact is, if someone wanted that information, it...

It’s my understanding that the crank/obscene calls were unrelated to the case or incidental. As to getting the number, that wasn’t hard. Let’s walk back through this. First, I don’t know if Sherill kept her old number when she moved. In that era, you could do that with certain companies...

NJ - Lindbergh baby kidnapping, East Amwell Township, 1 March 1932

That’s a very small part of it. One guy’s book theory. The FBI guy here doesn’t buy into it and I too find it very unlikely. If he wanted, Lindbergh could have had the child institutionalized. Why go this charade of hiring thugs to kidnap your child. Further, with other 'insiders’ I think...

NJ - Lindbergh baby kidnapping, East Amwell Township, 1 March 1932

I scrounged up a couple more links from two programs. The first from a 1980 ‘In Search of’ program. And another done by, I think, the BBC. There is a real good one done, by the BBC, around this period, but I haven’t found it. I think it’s titled, ‘Who killed the Lindberg Baby.' It had...

For those interested, here’s a NOVA program done on the case. My guess, a few years ago. PBS Nova Who Killed Lindbergh's Baby 480p SD XVID - YouTube

Mule...thanks for sharing ! While this may not be the scenario, this is very much ‘out of the box’ thinking. I personally think it has a LOT of merit. The general presumption has been, and I’ve read very little deviate from it, was they were all taken at the same time. Back to your earlier...

Welcome to our little spot in the great ‘anti social human behavior,’ referring euphemistically to all sorts of ugly human acts. This case is different and odd. Three women dissappear from a house. Not unheard of and not without precedence, still very different. There’s a somewhat similar...

IN IN - Renee Bruhl, Patricia Blough & Ann Miller, Indiana Dunes SP, 2 July 1966

Agreed, I don’t think the two cases are remotely related. The comparison of of the two was for timing (perhaps a little local geography). Meaning, early attention to this case, even locally, might have been overshadowed by the Speck case which garnered a nation swarm of media.
