Bumping this case

Just bumping this one up. I think Richard makes many good points. I grew up in Toms River and I have always wondered about this case.

Any new developments? This case has always bothered me and the lack of attention it has received is quite disturbing. Five healthy, strong, young men go missing AT THE SAME TIME and 31 years later we know nothing. SOMEONE must know something but the case needs way more exposure.:furious:

I am very happy for the both of them and I am so glad there have been no negative posts regarding this (for obvious political reasons). She did make such a beautiful bride and I agree with the previous posts on how down to earth she is :)

She was truly an unsung heroe. May she rest in peace. Maybe hollywood should be making a movie about her instead of the other drivel they feed to the masses.

Thanks for the input csds as you have actually been on this particular ship :). If indeed she just "fell overboard" then the cruise line might be remiss in their safety precautions. It should not be that easy to fall overboard any vessel of this magnitude.

I would hope that the cruise line would investigate this matter further and not just chalk it up to carelessness or heavy wind conditions. She deserves that. I would also assume there were some witnesses to what happened and we will learn more from them (she did not fall over board in the wee...

The both of you make very good points. It is just so sad that the search had to be ended so soon but unfortunately it is a pretty grim scenario regardless. Again, I would like to send my prayers to her friends and family. :(

They had to call off the search for her due to bad weather. Hopefully she will be found and my thoughts are with her family. The ship has since been released to continue to it's destination (Bermuda). One question is, how do you just "fall off" a ship? More details are needed in this case...

The article mentions that they are checking into the possibility of two missing persons in the county...there are no other persons who have recently gone missing in near by counties or even neighboring states etc. ?
