My heart just bleeds for her family. What a nightmare they've been living. This definitely wasn't the outcome I have been hoping for. May Hannah rest in peace; may her killer receive nothing but the maximum justice.
This article includes some commentary from Li's friends and a discussion of what is going on on Chinese social media:

Interesting! According to the info linked in the post above, Li lived in the apartments where Shao was found. This is surprising to me, as it isn't a spot where many students live.
The address is wrong in the article by the way. It left out the complete name of the road. It's 2401 Hwy 6...
That's a good question. I wonder if the balcony railing was a polished wood or other porous material? If so, they could have noticed smudge marks that would be consistent with clothing and pressure from legs/rear-end.
Regarding the article where Amy's mom says that Amy mentioned not feeling...

I recall reading in one of the MSM articles on this case that Iva Bradley told whomever was interviewing her that she still had the receipt for the reprint of those pictures in her possession. The reason she didn't pick them up is because, tragically, that was right before Amy...
This is exactly what I think about this case too. I think that there was foul play and that sadly, Amy probably didn't make it off the ship alive. MOO.
It's a shame that Yellow hasn't been so cooperative over the years. I believe that the answers lie with him (again, that's just my opinion...
I wish his links worked. I'd like to see his sketches. Was there any news media coverage regarding Neville's work for the Bradleys?
And thank you, Murkywater. I was confusing the Scotland Yard connection with Tara Calico. They were the ones who got two different answers about their photo...

I think the name that they're talking about in your quote is Li Xiangnan. Chinese names are not typically a series of three names. Li is the family name; Xiang-nan (or Xiangnan) is the first name. Wenzhou is the area where Li Xiangnan is from.
EDITED TO ADD: just checked UI directory...
I work at UI. I can tell you that the apartments where the car was found are NOT typically student housing. In fact, they're what locals refer to as the "ghetto". There are a lot of low-income people who live there, many of whom have no affiliation with the university. I have a colleague who...
I go back and forth about how much I think Jaz looks like Amy. The coloring is what prevents me from completely believing they are the same person. Jaz looks like she might be Italian or either a mixture of Anglo-European with Latina. Amy does not. A tan and some hairdye would never give...
MOO...I also struggle to believe the theory of all these years as some sort of mule/slave. It is just too fantastical and far-fetched to me.
There were a couple of days that passed before the ship was properly searched. She could have been killed on the ship, her body could have been hidden...
That makes me think that her picture wasn't just up there as a joke or a way to taunt the family. :(
I'd love to know more about what you've found, AddysMom.
