I have a sneaking suspicion that this jury is going to end up being hung. To many choices with all the lesser degrees then of course you have juror #4. Sadly as much as I'd like to see a verdict for 1st degree I don't think that's going to happen if deliberations proceed into the later part of...
I believe her convictions were crimes of deceit if I'm not mistaken which can be used to impeach and show credibility (character) along with her depo in which she lied to investigators and then changed her statement after being paid by a tabloid.
To my knowledge crimes of deceit can be used...
That or the jury dismisses her testimony because to the jury GA has been credible thus far and this woman has already admitted to lying to police and that she sought out the A's for fame basically.
The thing is the SA will be able to impeach KH with her depo, and I'm not sure they can mention her criminal record but if they do that also destroys her credibility.
Oddly enough if I had to pick with of the two was more credible in this trial I'd probably have to go with GA.
Never...
Been awhile but if I remember correctly those defense interviews were not conducted under oath. I don't remember them actually being called for a real depo or even added to the defenses witness list. Also I believe there was some character issues there for crimes of deceit.
Well obviously 7 other jurors felt there was doubt along with the foreman. I think many need to remember that the jurors are not like those following this case on sites like WS. For starters they go in not knowing any details of the case and are not supposed to have any preconceived notions. The...
The jurors will spend most of their time talking about how crazy and magical this case is, then move on to how they all feel she is guilty as sin and take a little bit of time hashing out why they all feel she is guilty. So I'll go with a 1/2 day.
I think the main thing about calling the jury any names is that it is against TOS. Also as has been said the jury only has the info that was presented to them and was not presented with all the evidence that people on WS have been privy too.
As I said earlier in this thread. I myself haven't...
I'm actually not surprised by at the hung jury. I haven't been following this case a whole lot, but from some of what I've read there are a number of areas in this case that could raise some reasonable doubt.
The unidentified DNA found on the cigarettes at the home, the unidentified hair found...
I noticed a few people put yes. Not to put anyone on the spot but would anyone who voted yes that they believed JB's version of events care to elaborate on what evidence in this case stands out to them as supporting JB's claims?
Is it that you believe it was an accident, or do you believe all...
Well she won't walk on all charges. Let's say in some freak miscarriage of justice she is found not guilty of 1st degree-manslaughter. She then has the aggravated child abuse charge. Hmm not rendering aid, calling 911, wrapping child in duct tape, ect. Ok so she is found not guilty there too...
