The circumstances in Ronald's disappearance seem to be a bit contradictory; according to Doenetwork he was in general feeling ok and looking forward to a family wedding etc. but according to Charley Project he left home very upset after finding out his father wasn't the same as his siblings'...
Thanks, Ambercat, for taking the time to find out what had happened in the case! I'm truly glad he's been identified, but oh how I'd like to know the rest of his story, especially if there was/is any indication that he might have been one of Kraft's victims!
Heres still three more, again with not much information or clues about Kraft's possible involvement, but maybe with some potential for identification at least.
HC1379, found on July 6th, 1981 in Los Angeles.
1378UMCA, found on October 31st, 1982 in Castaic, Los Angeles County.
HC1438...
Yes, definitely a possibility! I didn't have him on my list even though i remember seeing his case in some other thread long time ago... Can't think why I missed him in Doenetwork, but I had problems with some links there, so maybe that is why. Thanks for bringing him to the thread :). (He's on...
To continue:
1250UMCA, found on January 8th, 1981 in San Bernardino. He had been shot and set on fire only some hours before discovery. He is on the old side when thinking about Krafts possible preferences ,and setting the victim on fire would be (again) a new and perhaps-not-very-likely...
Next on the list is a bunch of cases, mostly with no details, which may or may not have something to do with Kraft. But still, theyre someones sons, brothers, fiancés/husbands or maybe even young fathers gone missing, and it would be a good thing to give them their identities back. It really...
I just realized I have left out one case based on some sort of narrow logic of my own sorry! Very irritating, since I really like to keep my ducks in a row and thats why Ive made a point of listing these cases in a chronological order.
The case is 865UMCA, found on November 5th, 1972 in...
Thank you, very good insight and a valid point! I was skeptical about this one myself, and some other cases too on my list - mostly the desert and/or buried ones. But I wasn't smart enough for see it from that point of view - I was suspicious only about the effort of hiding/burying a body, which...
HC1299, found on September 15th, 1979 in the desert in San Bernardino County.
HC795, skull only, found on November 24th , 1979, at Angeles Crest Highway. The skull had been on the location less than a year. Gregory Jolleys body, mentioned in my post above, was found without head and legs...
HC864, found on March 25th, 1978 in front of a home at the 3700 block of East Hammel Street in East L.A. Sounds to me like he was dumped there. Without clothing or jewelry too, according to the case information.
HC541, found on June 27th, 1978 in an orange grove in Irvine, Orange County. I...
I forgot to add in my previous post that at the moment Im trying to list for you the UIDs not previously mentioned in this thread. I thought at first of just sending a list of all possible Kraft victims, the ones already brought up and these new ones, but it would have made such a long...
Quoting this old post of tatertot because I didn't realize until lately (when going through my notes once again), that this UID was found hanging from a tree. So, it makes you think it's a suicide - and as was mentioned, harakiri IS suicide, albeit a ritualistic one and not usually done that...
I've finally combed through Doenetwork's unidentified males in California from 1971 to 1983 - and oh boy, there are lots of them! I came up with almost 60 UID's that I thought might be worth looking into more closely. Some of them are a bit of a stretch though, and many are hot cases with very...
Reading back the thread this UID caught my eye and I checked his information again: https://identifyus.org/cases/4240. His height is measured as 114(!) inches, and although my only knowledge about feet & inches is through inches-to-centimeters calculators, it just can't be correct, right?
I'm...
I wonder if the word "head" has the same (so far unknown) meaning here as in (according to the LA Times article) the entry #53, PORTLAND HEAD? The victim was identified as Brian Harold Witcher, last seen in Portland, Oregon. But as the article says, "Prosecutors so far have not explained the...
