A couple of points:
Just because Amanda was a "good Christian woman" doesn't mean she would open the door to anyone. She was also a woman home alone with a baby. If she opened the door, I suspect it was someone she knew.
About the husband releasing a statement so soon after the attack, a...
This couple did everything right. They didn't go alone. They were meeting in daylight. I think I read they were meeting at a store.
Short of an armed guard of a bazooka, what else could they have done?
Do you guys realize that Cali was the start of Doe Network? She was the first Jane Doe on there. She led the way for so many others to get their names back. She led the way for so many other families to find some peace. She brought many people to various sites who then went on to work other...
She had a name.
Her name was Tammy.
Speak her name.
Rest in peace, sweet girl. For 36 years you were loved by one group of people as Tammy and another group of people as Cali. And now we all both celebrate your return to your family and grieve for you.
She had a name.
Her name was...
You know, given the ties to the Boston area and the thorazine overdose, I wonder if she or the perp were somehow tied to McLean hospital.
Also, the bag from the farm bureau was said to only be sold in five locations, however, I wonder if it was also sold at the Big E. If that's the case, it...
Darn, I looked and forgetting the year, I thought this screamed Audrey Lyn Nerenberg. If all the dates on this Jane Doe are correct and Audrey's disappearance corresponds with major historical event, so I guess it can't be her.
But the thorazine overdose caught my eye.
Given that the suspect's nickname is Jay, I think that probably is his father. Juniors sometimes go by "Junior" which can get shortened to "Jay" (And the thirds sometimes end up going by Trey, i.e. three)
Bud fought in Vietnam. A lot of that war was guerrilla. I don't see someone being naive and trusting and coming home from combat in Nam. I just don't. The vets I know still unconsciously scan rooms. They position themselves between the unknown and those they love. And these aren't guys...
Yes.
But keep in mind, it could be the phone that is disposable OR just the sim card. If you know where to go, you can buy a sim card and pop it into an unlocked phone. I've never looked in the US, but I know in London, you can just walk into a bodega* and pick one up.
*I have no idea what...
It depends on the phone. If it's just the chip that's prepaid, the phone can do anything the particular model can do. If it's a cheap flip phone without a camera, obviously it can't send pics. I think most have data rates as well these days.
It has a prepaid balance rather than a contract. Sort of like old school prepaid calling cards.
Not all burner phones are nefarious. I have one for when I travel out of the country. Pop into a local bodega, buy a prepaid chip, put it on the phone and I have calling in the country for $20...
This couple is in their 60s, not their 80s. Everything i've read about them indicates they were of sound mind and body. They are on an adventure to fulfill a longtime dream. They are active in volunteering and serving others. I don't think their age made them vulnerable. I think this would...
Yeah, he left to join a culture of the kindness of strangers and barter and odd jobs. After Jerry Garcia died, he could have easier joined the folks who followed Phish, as there was definitely a lot of cross-over. He could have been selling handmade jewelry or t-shirts or something else to get...
