As a taxpayer I'm willing to contribute to a prosecution fund if need be. I bet it's killing him not to have control of the situation, and he's probably not looking forward to hearing how mentally disturbed he his. Screw him, I only hope he lives long enough to face what he's done in court...
They say he's indigent yet his house is worth $370,000, according to realtors. Marked down 10% for the ick factor of previous owner, that's still far from indigent, IMO. And now the trial costing 20 million, it seems no matter what there will never be justice for the victims of this guy.
I'm pretty sure he ate cheese out of one of the victim's fridge. Didn't even slice it, just gnawed on the block like a rat. I don't know why I remembered that. lol

This has been a long time coming, and I'm SO glad he's still alive to face the consequences. But, really, what's the worst that will happen to him? California only retains the death penalty as a plea bargaining chip. As punishment for 12 murders he'll live out his days watching TV and lounging...
If a child had a fatal accident while in my care, I'd be devastated by guilt and grief. I think that would be a normal reaction, but have no link to back that up.

It seems unbiased from what I've heard so far, and that's important.
