Yes if the situation required that to defend yourself. You have to prove it was reasonable and necessary to defend yourself in that way.

I think people should be allowed to defend themselves in their own home and not worry about getting charged with murder.

In one of the articles above a fellow pupil said she was suspended from school. So if that's the case she shouldn't have been there and it seems like she went there deliberately to attack them. IMO. Unless he meant she was suspended in the past?

I don't think somebody burning themselves to death should ever be glorified or seen as heroic. This is not something to encourage mental unstable people to do, as in my opinion you have to mentally unstable to kill yourself in such a brutal way.
