I haven't asserted anything as to what happened. I have discussed different possibilities as to what happened. Its very well possible she climbed into the tank herself. It might be a remote possibility, but there is no way to 100% rule it out at this time. Its also a possibility she was under...

Also the possibility of Elisa having a mental breakdown at the time of her death doesn't actually preclude what the cause of death was. She still could have been murdered, or death by accident or misadventure or whatever. She just wouldn't have been fully cognizant while it was happening.

I'm sure LE are investigating her mental history and psychological background thoroughly. Also part of the toxicology report will be determine if she was still taking her medication or had stopped taking them. The fact that she was diagnosed bipolar and on a cocktail of meds is another piece...

I work in the mental health profession and Elisa's actions in the elevator, especially her hand motions, are exactly the type of behavior i witness schizophrenics and people suffering mental breakdowns to have. Thats what originally got me interested in the case, I am fairly positive she is...

Don't you think it odd then that none of Elisa's family or many friends have come forward saying that it doesn't look like her in the video? The fact that they haven't and the only people who have, have never met her, I'm inclined to believe that it is her in the video.

Personally I think suicide, while technically possible, is the least likely of ways for Elisa to have died. Mainly because the water tanks were right next to a 15+ story drop off straight to concrete. The Cecil is actually a popular place to kill yourself by jumping off of, just like the Golden...

Why?? She could very well be on drugs based on her bizarre behavior in the elevator. You can't conclusively rule that out. And considering LE is withholding information until the toxicology report comes back implies they are at least considering it a possibility.

I don't believe its ever been asserted there wasn't more footage? They released the video they did because it was initially a missing person's case, and that was the last recorded video of her. Once the body was found it turned into a death investigation, and LE most likely doesn't have much to...

When the video was released Elisa's body had not been found yet. It was still a missing person's case at that point. LE released the video because it was the last time she was seen and they wanted people to know what she was wearing and how she was acting in case anyone had could help locate her.

You're assuming way too much. We don't have enough facts in this case to know anything for certain one way or another yet.

First part, without the video it looks a whole lot like foul play. Anything else would be nothing short of bizarre. With the video and her behavior bizarre, the bizarre hypothesis become less so. Second part, I have no idea.

There were no signs of trauma on the body. So how would she have died on top of the maintenance building with no physical signs of trauma? Also the tank is at least a good six foot or more drop from the top of the maintenance building. I also though at first she could have come from there, but...

    The Water Tanks

The only statement i can find that might reference the lid of the water tank: http://www.nydailynews.com/news/national/body-missing-canadian-woman-found-water-tank-article-1.1268631 if he stated that the tank is unlocked, then it stands to reason that there would need to be a lid, right? It...

Stay advertises itself as a hip European style hostel. When I lived down there I would routinely see young 20-something foreign tourists coming out with backpacks on who looked like they were in town traveling. Elisa would fit right in.

Haha it's not that bad, really. There are nice apartments right next door to the Cecil. The area once you go east is worse. Main Street used to be really bad 10+ years ago. Now it's become quite a bit gentrified.
