Yeah - I agree, I find the words that Superintentendant Mark Hatt said something like - "We have CCTV of her leaving the property - but we have no idea which way she went" (from his press conference).

I can only gather there is some video footage that shows SM walking down the driveway - but if there is no CCTV that shows past the driveway - there can't be any evidence that she actually left the driveway IMO.
Can anyone see from maps where their council bins are located? Could she have walked up the driveway to dispose of the dog poo in the wheelie bin and that’s the cctv vision they captured? Did she walk up the driveway for a different reason than to commence her jog?

I also have no idea and it could be anything at this stage. As far as a note, only about 40% of suicides maximum involve a note (or that was the figure we were given when I learned about this stuff). The thinking you mention here assumes a rationality people who are in the space where they take their life might not have. I read a friend's suicide note and it was quite clear that while they were coherent, there was a lack of logic and rationality in their thoughts.

I wouldn't have a clue what the answer is here but I aren't leaping to any conclusions based on anyone's body language. I've worked with some difficult situations in a support role and, sometimes, that tension in the body or face might just reflect the effort to keep my own emotions in check so I can do my role. I can't imagine what it's like to go through this, let alone having to do it in the face of judgement and media attention.
I don't believe the suicide theory, otherwise police would still be searching. And I believe a woman of her age with children would have left a note. And the police are now saying SM disappearance is suspicious. They don't say suspicious unless foul play is involved. Suicides are not classed as suspicious.

I just looked up bin collection days for the address but they’re on a Thursday.

Yes you can see the bins on google street view … out towards the front gate near the small shed ….

I haven’t heard that Police have called in divers ….. They listed all sorts of other search personnel including dogs etc
I have found an article in the DM that states that Police divers were called in to search abandoned local mineshafts… doesn’t say they searched any dams though.

Thanks @Marg944
That is good to know!

Maybe Police have searched the dams but it’s not been made public???

The article also says this :

Police are also checking the countless local dams on surrounding farmland to see if there is any trace of her there.

In the USA, we have all kinds of gadgets for water. The lightest are the small water filters, which you can fill up from any water source, and it filters it so it's potable. Some can be carried in a light backpack with a straw to your mouth. It is mostly unheard of for people to go on a hike without water, with so many ways to carry it with a lightweight. Better to have water in case of an emergency than none at all.
Agreed, they don't jog along with a water bottle, perhaps a camel back (water in a backpack with long flexible straw).

IMO

A reporter asked if there were any specialists involved in looking in mineshafts or dams, in the Day Six presser.

The answer was "Yeah, that's all part of our search at the moment. We've had the police search and rescue squad involved in the search since day one."

(At around the 4:10 mark)

Absolutely BreakingNews! And usually, in Australia, as soon as there is a suicide, - if you need help, there are a list of contacts for help, and they say contact this number to access the right help!
So this is Interesting, but I think it was a personal crime! An opportunistic crime would leave evidence as they understand that nobody would be tracing them.

On the low blood pressure thing, I wonder if the friend got confused with low heart rate? Most runners have a low heart rate. Taking water would be less important in that case.

I am just listening to the Day Six presser. At about the 5:06 mark in the video, a reporter says that there have been reports that Samantha suffered from low blood pressure and is there any truth in that or are there any health concerns that they are aware of.

The police answer was that "she's physically and mentally a fit and strong woman".

The reporter says .. "not the low blood pressure thing?"

The police officer shakes his head no.

So I guess it was a bogus report anyway!

imo
