Two years.

Jan. 2 marks the two-year anniversary of the last known sighting of Desrochers, 43, a mom and new grandmother who simply has vanished.

Thanks for posting!
From link.
After initial investigation by uniform officers and the London police missing person’s co-ordinator, the case was passed on to the major crime section by Jan. 26, 2016, Krygsman said.

A primary investigator was assigned to the case. “That’s when the investigation really started to gather steam,” Krygsman said.
“It is very active. We have been very active in investigating this case from the outset. We have dedicated resources to this case and we have for quite some time.”

So far, there have been 182 tips called in and followed up. “Some of them have been very helpful,” he said. “Every single one of them has been submitted to us by people who truly want to help and provide information.”

Krygsman wouldn’t go into the evidence but said that “I believe over the course of time, we’ve made progress on this case. We need more, obviously.”

Desrochers, he said, “is someone who is well loved. She is loved by people, she is a popular person, people care for her.”

Investigators are looking at a number of possibilities: she could she have left the city, met with foul play, accidently overdosed or have been injured.
Krygsman said he doubts Desrochers would remember him or the conversation he had with her when he was in uniform on another unrelated call so long ago.

“I also firmly believe there are people out there who know where she is and can explain or help us to explain what led to her disappearing on Jan. 2, of 2016,” he said.

Krygsman pointed to her picture on the new poster.

“We’re working for this woman right here.”

Bumping up for Shelley... her friends will be marching in Take Back the Night tomorrow night as per the Team Shelley Facebook page. Since this is two years in and the trail has gone ice cold, maybe the London police could release some sort of tidbit that might stimulate people's memories? They must have info that could be shared.

Somebody out there knows something, but unfortunately that person or persons isn't likely to come forward. How do these cases ever get solved? I'm afraid it's probably with the discovery of a body.

Another year passes.

Shelley Desrochers: Anniversary of London woman's disappearance passes with little public notice

This year, there has been silence on many fronts about the Jan. 2, 2016, disappearance of Londoner Shelley Desrochers. No police news releases. No rallies. Nothing much in the media.

DESROCHERS, Shelley

Shelley Desrochers was last seen in the area of Lorne Avenue and English Street in east London by a police officer on January 2nd, 2016. She was 42 years-old at the time. Shelley’s sister Laura describes her as a lovable person who enjoyed spending time with her family. She had fallen into a troubled time in her life and was struggling with substance abuse and PTSD. There have been many theories about Shelley’s disappearance such as running off to start a new life, accidental death, and that she met with foul play due to her “high risk lifestyle”, but these are still just theories. Police recovered Shelley’s purse in a home known for high drug related activity; her health card was found in the parking lot of a walk-in clinic on Hamilton road three years after she went missing.

Laura notes that the last time she spoke to visit Shelley on December 31st of 2015 nothing seemed to be out of the ordinary. Shelley had plans to go to her boyfriend’s house. There has been a lot of media attention, posters in the area and a podcast completed by Karla Tolstoy called, Finding Shelley, yet there has been no sign of Shelley to date.
