This perpetrator truly makes me shudder. Obsessive, lack of regard for other people… the fact he is not revealing location of the bodies is just so controlling and cruel. It seems the police are scouring waterways in many places. My worry is he is leading them on a goose chase. I shudder to think that he is capable of leaving one person alive and telling police a different story to cause the remaining person more suffering. That is my great fear as I think this perpetrator is a very sick sick person.

It is a scary obsession, because it is not with real humans, but with IG figures. JMO - in Beau’s mind, he is faceless unless he is standing next to a celebrity. “A celebrity blogger” is a half-joking name from SM, but in his mind, it becomes his real persona. Jesse was a celebrity, too. I don’t know how for long their “true relationship” lasted. But seeing Jesse’s IG - lots of people around him, and knowing that he was only 26 and became famous at a very young age - I wonder if it was not too serious for Jesse. The perp, however, must have seen himself climbing up higher in the celebrity world. “A celebrity’s BF”, and maybe later, “a husband”. Breaking up might have felt as if he lost his face. The danger of such a relationship lies in the fact that not only breaking up incites anger; what if Jesse lost his job, or, when aging, stopped being that popular?

(Luke, whom everyone describes as “humble”, comes across as way more mature. His text exchange with the friend on Sunday sounded like the friend thought that Jesse could be a person to keep? Luke and his friend discussed the human JB, not his celebrity status. Which makes me wonder if Luke and Jesse would have made a good steady couple, after all. Too sad).

That pathetic excuse for a human clearly killed them both before moving them - firstly he is weedy as so wouldn’t have been able to have over powered either of those beautiful boys without some unfair advantage like shooting them in the back or ambushing them
Secondly, although he is clearly evil as , he doesn’t sound like someone who has the courage or fortitude to take someone on face to face
Thirdly, it’s clear that he isn’t clever or smart, just crudely lucky, but his sloppiness and stupidity will hopefully be his downfall

This is not what Australia is about
This is not what the queer community is about
Like Jacinda aren’t said about that grotesque mass murdered, he is not one of us
He is a coward
He will not break us
IMOO if this creep can pass the police psych exams I dread to think what other opportunistic self serving monsters are in the “force”.
This is why a lot of civilians don’t trust the
Police sadly.

He seems to be a total narcissist and after doing some research they will rarely confess to a serious crime.

They like to still feel in control of what is happening so I doubt there will be a full confession. There may be a partial confession with a fake twist to try to show that he is not really a bad person, it was self defence and he panicked etc.

Lock him up and throw away the key!

Police divers are expected to begin searching multiple dams in the Southern Tablelands for the bodies of Sydney couple Jesse Baird and Luke Davies who were allegedly killed by policeman Beau Lamarre-Condon.

NSW Police divers will on Monday morning begin the second day combing through the dams of properties off Hazelton Road at Bungonia, about 33 kilometres south of Goulburn. The search began on Sunday afternoon.

I did stumble across a youtube video last night of a campground at the end of this street, posted by campers some time ago. I have not posted the link as multiple unrelated people in the video however happy to post it if requested. The camp ground is noted at number 62.

Campers at a nearby campground told Nine they had not noticed any “unusual activity”, with an increased police presence in town and a NSW Police helicopter seen circling the area on Sunday.

This is so close to the bone for me- went past the Paddo house on Friday and saw the crime tape and a police escort but had only heard about the missing couple briefly on the news that morning so when I googled the address out of curiosity and saw it was *the* house I got chills. Had been in Bondi earlier that day and drink in the Beresford (where they were last seen).
It’s cast a very big and somber shadow over the communities (both queer and the area) especially with Mardi Gras and all the joy and love that comes with, coming up.

Of all the tragedies I’ve read here in the last 4 years.. one never really expects something like this to happen right on the doorstep. Huge love to fellow Aussies on this thread feeling this heavily :(

Yes, we all know one of the most dangerous times to know a narcissist is when leaving them and slighting/threatening their very shaky sense of identity. Add to this Lamarre’s more overt and shameless displays of levels of obsession and stalking with celebrities, and then his position of power as a LEO with all the extra accesses that entails.. all murders of innocents are senseless but poor Jesse who just wanted to move on from what must have been a very unpleasant experience all round with BL, and his beautiful boyfriend who did nothing wrong but make him happy..

Moo imo

Do you have a link to these texts? I tried to google but with the recent revelations of bogus texts BL sent its proving difficult, and it sounds lovely so I’d like to read.
(Apologies if I’ve missed the link in this thread, I can only read little at a time as it just makes me feel so heavy and depressed)

Fame?

moo
I think it’s more likely he gave himself in so he could control the situation - he obviously knew at that stage he was going to be caught very soon.

I don’t think he wanted to be arrested in front of his family members - I also don’t think he wanted pictures in the media of him being ‘manhandled’ to the floor in an arrest.

if the main motive for the crime is essentially an ex whom didn’t want Jesse with anybody else then I think there will definitely be 2 separate areas where the bodies are.

I can’t see this absolute horror of a man allowing them even to be together in death so to speak.

Unfortunately, I think in every country the police forces seem to have major issues at the moment.

In the UK we have some horrors who were/are serving in our police force just look at Wayne Couzins for example.

Agree. The footage of him at police HQ handcuffed is very telling. He strides ahead of the police escorting him as if HE is leading THEM. It was infuriating to watch. A person who appeared to have no shame and a need for control and power JMO

3 years is a lot of time to hold grudge.
I have no insight about the times you asked about. But judging from personal experiences from people I know, then flipped exes can easily hold grudges for 5+ years without even any provocation. Grudge-holding stalkery obsessive types (and you might even not know that side of them before you break up) are creepy in that way. What is worse, if they commit a crime against their ex-partner or a new partner of their ex-partner, they don't care if they're caught. The satisfaction from having to kill/whatever is too great - the they can do whatever they want with me, but it won't turn it back type of a logic.

The narcissist will initially love bomb, then slowly, you wake up to how controlling and everything they are. It can be confusing because they can be good at making you feel like it's all your fault. You can look up relationships with a narcissist.

I have never hated a person as much as I loathe this loser.
I hope everyday of his future pathetic life, is made miserable by his fellow inmates.
Even after 50 odd years of following true crime, this one has really hit home.
