Yes. My schizophrenic child has recently come off medicine and has gone downhill rapidly. It's a sad disease.
Whoever changed the thread title should fix the spelling of Sydney.

Re the baby I just heard on ABC radio that the status is now serious but stable.

First time I have read this ... baby's dad is by her side at the hospital.

I have been hoping someone is there for her. She is not going to understand that her mummy is no longer here.

That's why I never post photos on Facebook, or anywhere else. If you do you've lost control of where they're going to end up.

ABC have said that they will be respecting her privacy as requested. :) ( ABC News TV )

It's so hard Oddsocks on family & the person with it.

It's been reported he moved to Sydney from QLD a month ago. He may have stopped taking his meds & was away from his usual support system ( community mental health team etc & family) Maybe did not have a GP down here also .

All IMO

This is a good watch, Security expert Scott Taylor shares his insights on the shocking attack. Interesting to hear about his criminal behaviour compared to other criminals in non mental health related attacks.

Ash Good's family have released a statement. Among their words are expressions of gratitude for the two men who took care of baby when her mum no longer could.

“Today we are reeling from the terrible loss of Ashlee, a beautiful mother, daughter, sister, partner, friend, all round outstanding human and so much more,”
“We appreciate the well-wishes and thoughts of members of the Australian public who have expressed an outpouring of love for Ashlee and our baby girl.”
..... “struggling to come to terms with what has occurred”.
..... baby had undergone “hours of surgery yesterday” and is currently doing well.
“We are so grateful for the expert care and attention of the medical team at Sydney Children’s Hospital,”
“We would also like to thank the New South Wales Police for their kindness and diligence in this tragedy and emergency services for getting our baby the care she needed as quickly as possible.

“To the two men who held and cared for our baby when Ashlee could not - words cannot express our gratitude.”

Not to generalise, but he looks so "normal" in that picture with the surfboard. His family and friends must be horrified. Makes sense that he had schizophrenia though carrying out an attack like that.
You can see in the photos from the mall he is 20kg lighter in recent times. His face is all sunken in and he has veins protruding through the skin of his arms. This to me suggests more someone with drug addiction, likely meth, who also happened to have schizophrenia.

Jmo

This has brought me to tears. Horrific

His Facebook page, not sure how long it will be up. Nothing much to see though.
Not much on his profile but all his posts across various groups make him seem like he was lonely/looking for company.
