Found Deceased FL - Katherine Altagracia Guerrero De Aguasvias, 31, missing after possible armed carjacking recorded by witness, Winter Springs, 11 Apr 2024

This likely has no bearing on the case but i thought it odd the way the carjacker held the gun. The stock completely loose above his shoulder like he wasn’t planning on having to use the gun. If he did He would have had no control over it. It would have flopped all over the place. IMO to me he didn’t look like he had any formal firearms training and just some young, low level (possible) employee of organized crime. All MOO

Better article here. It states that the number on the back of the vehicle does belong to a male which I won't name here.
Also check out the comment from DR posted today.

Public records for the male do tie back to Katherine. Meaning they either share a home or business address. But the Sheriff already spoke to the connection between these two, not something they seem to be concerned with,

I'm a little more concerned with the state of Katherine's marriage and current relationship with her husband. I'd like to hear more details, in order to better understand the phone call she made. Why he didn't call 911 on her behalf and why he may have been untruthful in stating the reason for her trip that day.

Things that make you go hmmn ...

Regarding the "For Sale" on the 2017 Durango. I did some research on FB marketplace and Craigslist and don't find that car advertised. If someone really wants to sell a car they usually have it advertised a few ways. Could the signage be a different message for killers?

Such a perplexing case. I am speculating criminal connection or spouse possibly. Amazing that the gunman approached her at a busy intersection in broad daylight brandishing a weapon for all to see. It seems obvious that the car was not what he wanted and as the above article states, this was not a random incident. That poor woman, how terrifying.

Yes it is. <modsnip - no link to approved post for that statement> But I agree with what many are saying on here that it appears targeted.

That East Lake Drive is a busy stretch at that time of day. I do wonder if other 911 calls came in about the ramming. What was the point of ramming the vehicle anyway? She could have lost control and had an accident with another vehicle. Then what?

I'm right there with you on suspicons, either are feasible IMO. Going out on a limb - if this isn't domestic, but criminal. As in, maybe something like transporting for others. If the folks in the green Acura had knowledge of such, could have targeted her for robbery. Does that make sense?

One thing for sure, it's not often LE comes out of the gate making strong statements like Lemma did. IMO, they have an idea why she was targeted.

I found her Florida license, thought she might have a hair salon - but maybe it's nails instead.

Not sure if jointly owned but there is a barber shop and like you posted i also thought a hair salon. Maybe it's a dual purpose salon.

One thing I have wondered, if not domestic or criminal, is a possible debt from when K moved from her home country. She has been here in the US for 5 years, is a citizen and according to LE is free of any criminal activity. She has a young child, a business so being a debt or current criminal activity is low on my list. MOO

<modsnip: speculation based on no known facts>

What a terrifying situation. I think the men took her to an isolated area and executed her. I don't think this was sexually motivated and they obviously didn't care about the vehicle.

She does have one small judgement that was recorded back in 2023, just over a thousand bucks - LVNV FUNDING LLC- Some sort of debt collection agency. One minor traffic ticket from 2018. Nothing concerning, as LE said.

She has no known ties to Central Florida. Nothing concerning via LE.

There is a reason she traveled north and then almost rapidly stalked and rammed and carjacked.

I noticed it was put on the window with vinyl… probably with a Cricut machine which is very common. But I can’t really think of when I’ve seen a “For Sale” sign made that way for a car.

I agree, it looked more like intimadation. IMO. Sadly it worked.

TIMELINE: Here’s what we know about woman carjacked in broad daylight near Winter Springs

Below is the timeline of events on April 11.

12 p.m.

Sheriff Dennis Lemma said Katherine Altagracia Guerrero De Aguasvivas left Homestead just after noon and started driving to Seminole County. Her vehicle was seen driving northbound through Jupiter during her trip.

3:30-4:00 p.m.

Aguasvivas arrives in Seminole County on Interstate 4, according to the sheriff’s office. She stopped to pump gas at a Shell station located just south of State Road 436 and U.S. Highway 17-92 and stayed for approximately eight minutes. Deputies said she left there and drove through Casselberry on Button Road, and continued to drive on back roads until she arrived in the Winter Springs area.

About a half mile before the intersection of East Lake Drive and Tuskawilla Road, Sheriff Lemma says Aguasvivas noticed a green Acura was behind her before it rammed into her vehicle. At that time, her husband told deputies she called him and told him what happened.

“She picked up the phone and called her husband, told her husband that she was being rammed, that there was somebody there that was following her,” Sheriff Lemma said. “The husband provided her with the advice: Don’t stop, don’t stop anywhere.”

Law enforcement is not aware of any reports that Aguasvivas or her husband called 911 for help.

BEFORE 6 p.m.

A witness driving behind Aguasvivas’ white Dodge Durango saw the armed carjacking and recorded cell phone video of the event. It shows a masked man approaching the driver’s window and pointing a gun at her. He then gets into the back seat while the vehicle is still stopped at a red light.

Deputies believe the suspect had gotten out of the green Acura that was following Aguasvivas, Sheriff Lemma said Friday.

Both cars are seen on camera making a U-turn at the intersection.

Lemma said a passenger in the witness’s car called 911 to notify law enforcement.

Detectives suspect Aguasvivas was ordered at gunpoint to turn around again and head southbound on Tuskawilla Road toward the Seminole/Orange County line to Aloma Ave.

“Once they get to Aloma, they make a left. They go all the way across all lanes of traffic so they can get on State Road 417 southbound,” Lemma said. “They drive southbound on 417, likely getting off at the Narcoossee Road exit. They travel the back roads, ultimately turning off onto Boggy Creek Road in Osceola County.”

APPROXIMATELY 7 p.m.

Witnesses in Osceola County reported hearing gunshots and seeing smoke from a vehicle fire. Lemma said the car was badly damaged, and a body was found inside it. Authorities believe it is Aguasvivas.

Per this timeline, she was rammed, followed by a car, and called her husband around 3:30-4 pm but wasn't carjacked until just before 6 pm. What was happening between 4 and 6 pm? I didn't realize there was such a significant gap in time.

Seems significant.
