Found Deceased Australia - Nick Eade, 36, Sydney, 26 Nov 2013

Perhaps he was depressed. Might explain why he sounded so 'upbeat' as indicated by his wife. In other words, perhaps he had made his mind up at that time but instead wandered around for a while. Maybe he stayed at motels some nights. Perhaps the large amount of money may have been to purchase a...

I found this about Sentencing Hearings NSW : http://www.sentencingcouncil.lawlink.nsw.gov.au/sentencing/sent_council_sentencing/sent_council_sentencing_hearing.html

Good question - Because some reports are stating 'Gittany will be sentenced on 5 Feb 2014' whilst others are stating that the 'sentencing hearings' will be on 5 Feb 2014. :jail:

Oh boy - I can't read this without feeling anger (obviously toward the ex-boyfriend). That would be so disheartening and bl*&#y frustrating to not ever see justice done, in some form or another. It seems to me that 'these' types of people who do this sort of thing have the complete opposite view...

What a memorable way for that NSW Detective to retire after (27 ?) years in the police force. To see the that bit part of his ear off like a dog with rabies, found guilty and finally behind bars. :great:

I also absolutely agree with all you've said. As you mentioned, the public probably only knows a fraction of his crimes. He can't be that unlucky that he commits say 5 crimes and gets busted 5 times. It's frightening to think of whatever else he has done or been involved with, in the space of...

GUILTY Australia - Lisa Harnum, 30, killed in 15-storey fall, Sydney, 30 July 2011 #3

Wow ICU Nurse - That is a gut wrenching and thought provoking post. It's hard to know how to respond. My friend (and ex-colleague) hit a young boy on his way to school at an intersection where she had a green light and the pedestrian was red. It was a wet, rainy morning and the young boy ran out...

Quote respectfully snipped by me : No - I wasn't thinking that the theft of a PC would be on his 'important list' but rather anything else that someone might really want that could only be found either on his body or in his residence. As we now know, he has a history of drug dealing and cash...

....Yes, and now the Judge has a good 2 months to ponder over all of those chances he was given, of how much of a menace he has been to the community prior to the vicious crime he committed on LH. I wonder what submissions his defense will present for leniency ? I can't think of any that...

GUILTY Australia - Lisa Harnum, 30, killed in 15-storey fall, Sydney, 30 July 2011 #3

Snipped by me - A legitimate reason would be, if a burglar broke in and stole property, including all the computer equipment in the study room, he would have a recording of the burglary on the 'hidden' hard drive. IMO :groucho:

GUILTY Australia - Lisa Harnum, 30, killed in 15-storey fall, Sydney, 30 July 2011 #3

I'm only speculating here....but perhaps police overheard a conversation between the two brothers about going to the apartment and getting some 'gear' out. Perhaps the brother knew what that meant ? It may have been cryptically clued in the conversation and perhaps it wasn't until after the...

It is a mystery, because when I think about it, if police were bugging conversations, surely they would 'jump' at the chance to get at whatever was in the ceiling at the time they became aware. It's also interesting that Judge McCallum has indicated in the Judgment that she's not that...

Perhaps police became aware through phone or prison cell monitoring at some time after SG's initial arrest (4 Aug 2011) ? http://www.abc.net.au/news/2013-11-07/gittany-asked-brother-to-remove-hard-disk-court-told/5076430

OK Sleuthers...... I wonder if SG's mobile phone was ever checked ? Where is his mobile phone ? Did he get rid of it before it could be checked. The reason I am curious is because the text messages that were included as evidence seem to have been retrieved from JH's phone or LH's phone or (I...

Good finking SouthAussie ! If the pinhole camera recorded the struggle outside the door, where did they obtain that footage from ? Probably the harddrive that can be seen in the pics of the study. Then why would a separate hard drive be needed or even exist ? I never thought of that but it makes...

It's scary stuff alright. I'm inclined to believe that he kept LH separate from his dirty dealings on the side. Some text messages that he sent to LH that ordered her back to the apartment makes me believe this.
