I apologize and will concede that the defense didn’t want the prosecution to get those records. In the State’s filing on Mar 14th the prosecution mentions that.(Although I still think it’s mention in something, I’ll let it go and say sorry)
However, whether the defense like it or nor, the Judge...
The prosecution was granted complete access to RA’s mental records. The defense was fine with that. There was no stipulation that they could look at only things related to homicide.
The prosecution had not seen any of the records up until that permission was granted. They did not know the...
Not an attorney, but that seems absurd.
The prosecution requested and was granted access to all RA’s medical and mental health records from prison weeks ago. The defense said that was OK with them.
Every day, lawyers vigorously defend their clients for a number of charges. They do this in a professional manner showing respect for everyone while still effectively arguing for their client. They even show respect for the victim’s family. They don’t scheme to try the case in public. They don’t...
You’re the one who asked the question. I was just commenting on my observations in watching other trials.
I certainly wasn’t there and didn’t claim to be.
I expressed earlier that JG’s mistake was not scheduling the trial to be open ended so I think we’re actually on the same page here. I was only mentioning the Murdaugh trial to show that there are different ways to do it.
I’ll add though that in my opinion, JG’s problem was not that she needed...
I’ve certainly seen plenty of live streaming trials where defense attorneys simply lean over and talk with their clients. There’s always LE working security nearby and there is no concern expressed or drama. In my opinion, this is probably done thousands of times a day in courtrooms across the...
judge Newman in the Murdaugh trial ruled on very few motions before the trial. Instead he told the attorneys that he would rule on certain evidence was admissible if and when it came up in trial. And that’s what they did, and it worked just fine.
So it can work.
JG’s mistake was not scheduling...
Wow!
Best Cold Justice episodes ever in my opinion.
For me, I learned a lot I didn’t know and more about things I knew only a little about. Some things that stood out to me:
—The Big Giant Nail In the Coffin evidence has got to be the shoe print at the crime scene coupled with the security...
Clips are from the above post.
“…it's pretty unbelievable. But so is a lot of criminal behavior, like a mother killing her kid because she thought he was a zombie.”
Unbelievable, like a seemingly run of the mill CVS employee and family man herding two young girls across a creek in broad...
The defense is not going to be removed from the case. No way.
I think they will be found guilty of contempt and probably fined and sanctioned in some way.
They deserve a lot more in my opinion. They’ve made a mockery of our judiciary.
RA deserves a hardnosed defense working in his best interest...
