Excellent info, thanks. The abduction now appears to be two lovers fleeing from "persecution by adult (and sensible) principles".
Hopefully the State Police will handle the situation as thus. The black duffle bag and the handguns are the 'elephant in the chase'.
Cheektowaga is northwest of Lyndon, on a route towards Niagara Falls, approximately 1.5 hrs away -- unless the vehicle deliberately made a circuitous route from Lyndon-to-Lake Erie; and if it did, then the "time of sighting" around 1 pm would jive with "travel time". On the other hand, the...
"The youths all go to the same school, O'Callaghan said. They did not leave a note or any indication of where they may be headed."
McKenzie was enrolled in the seventh grade, according to the news articles. All three students went to the same school, a school which (I believe I read) was for...
In looking at the birth dates for all three individuals, it appears as if the ages are much closer together for the two boys. Also, the girl is closer to being 13. The height of the girl and the older boy implies that they may be "close". The fact that the abduction took place at dawn (5 am)...
Good follow up link/picutre BAC ~ That image definitely eliminates the GIS Viewer #209 image as a candidate for the "ice house". The #209 is much larger, and seems to have white sidewalls. So the image posted by Missy (of the shack next to Janda's residence) must definitely be the ice shack.
BAC ~ Do you have a quick reason as to its relevance? I accessed the link began reading, stopped shortly, then ctrl+F(ed), searched for "Avery", found no mention within the "law.justia.com/case", and now wonder how-and-why this Incident Report was generated with SA's name listed in the "Person(s)"
Hippiemom..."leopard print"? Are you sure about that? There is mention in the list of items found in the trailer near the "blue building" (during the license plate discovery) of some women's leopard panties. Fascinating junk yard stuff, isn't it? Sounds more like a waltz into Sodom and...
I beg to differ with you. The image you have circled (which is the 0 in the 14-digit property ID) is a rectangle with no depth; it could be a garden, a tarp, anything "without depth". The other image (near the #209) definitely has depth; notice the "white facing" south. This is a wall of some...
You know, If you use the "palm feature" on the 2005 aerial view, you can move around the junk yard fairly easily. For example, you can slide a view from behind 12932 (SA's), move south along a car path for quite a ways, then move along the north edge of Randant's quarry to the conveyor belt...
There is no building "directly south of that". The property seems to have a "fence" along the southern border. If you cross the fence, you are into the junk yard. There is a dark "shadow" near the first 0 (zero) in the 14-digit plot ID, but I doubt that is significant. The above image I...
I agree, BAC. Buchner would have had extreme difficulty seeing any activity around the Janda van. Which in my original image would be located in the exact 90-degree right hand corner of B. Not only is it a 2/10s mile view from the intersection of the Long Road and Avery Road, but it is also...
ho, ho ho, ho ho... After you select the "image layers", use the "palm" to reposition your image so you can center on the ice shack. Then click the lower "zoom in" magnifier and then reposition the "crosshairs" over the shack, and drag a rectangle around it. When you release your drag, the...
BAC, can you give explicit directions on how to obtain the 2005 image you linked. I can not find the feature for an aerial 2005 on GIS viewer. How do you do it?
It definitely looks like the "junky van". Notice how the front of the vehicle is pointed towards Avery Road. I believe this is consistent with the exhibit photos #60 and #61
Not sure what the image is next to the van. It does not appear in either exhibit. When you reference the "ice shack"...
I agree with MaxManning. The Long Road to which Blaine refers in his statemets is the dirt and gravel road leading from Rectangle A to Rectangle B (east/west) in the image below. Avery Road is the north/south road leading into Rectangle A from the intersection of Rt 147. (*Note: The image...
This is an interesting detail which I have overlooked until rereading O'Neill's 11/05/05 report. O'Neill began Saturday Nov 5 around 11:30 am. Shortly after that (I presume), he drives to Avery's Salvage Yard, and soon (I believe) he begins an interview with Steven. I find it very interesting...
