I wonder what motivation SM would have to participate in something like that with his wife.
I could see if maybe H and SM were actually texting or talking and finally decided to meet that morning, if the wife tailed him and attacked. Why would he help the wife cover up the crime I wonder. OK...
If indeed there is evidence proving it was the couple then of course the date is not involved, that goes without saying. I had wondered about her wee hours call just to say "the date went well" before ever hearing about this couple.
Yes, I wonder whether the texts or PMs were answered or...
ok, thanks. So she was talking on the phone or texting with him until that time, so we know they were apart and she was alive until then. I didn't know that. So there wasn't someone lying in wait when she got home from the date. Presumably she got in safely then and was texting or talking to him...
I had always thought it was strange for her to call so late to say a date went well, it made me wonder if she'd been made to call by someone.
Edited to add: if she was made to make that phone call, that would at least be evidence of premeditation.
oh, he was the guy? I thought it was a different (single) guy that she had been out on a date with that night and that last contact was when she called a family member in the wee hours to say the date went well.
(...... because you wouldn't expect a crime as serious as this to come out of the blue, there could have been others.)
and when I say the woman being jealous of HE for some reason, I don't mean that there had to be any actual reason, I don't mean that Heather was actually involved with this...
I could understand if it was the woman being jealous of HE for some reason but why would the man participate? What was HE's relationship with these people if any?
If these two are just killers who wanted to do something like this together, I wonder if LE found any jewelry or anything from any...
read in the Post and Courier yesterday morning about the arrest. So glad to hear there's been an arrest (two arrests) but so sad for Heather and her family. What do authorities believe happened exactly? I got the impression that they'd been following these two suspects for some time, how long...
it's so frustrating with the no body no crime concept.... Because a person abandoning their car, for example, seems suspicious enough. If they are leaving or moving or taking off to somewhere, why dump their car? Why not keep it, or sell it? you know
I think as long as the phone is on it keeps pinging as texts or anything else is coming in, not only when the owner is still texting right? For example in the BD case it seemed like they had pings after she stopped texting, that showed how her phone travelled southward. But we never did hear...
So only BD was a tourist in the area, right, the other two young ladies are locals? I was thinking about the fact that all three young women disappeared during holiday/tourist times (i.e. Christmas break or Spring break.) Probably just a coincidence, but it made me wonder what if the perp is...
my family and I saw the posters recently in MB about the disappearance of HE, we were so sorry to see that, of course we never go to MB without thinking about BD already. Then just saw online today about the disappearance of the other young woman 5 days later and the find of bones 5 days after...
Sorry to abbreviate the quote above, people can click to go back to your original to read the whole thing. Clearly you agree with the prosecution's theory. I think the fact she posed for photos while there that day and that she left the photos/camera there would tend to be more exculpatory, as...
which roommate had the rental car during those days and which one said he and his girlfriend had spent time during those days "cleaning his girlfriend's parent's house", (initials only), was it same roommate? Could his girlfriends' parents' house really have smelled as bad as the one he was in...
(that's just a segment of weatherlady's post I am responding to)
I know, I forgot to say in the AK case they even supposedly had the emails AK had sent before MK's murder and more evidence of motive, but of course in that case the defense challenged the DNA evidence based on collection...
me too geevee, but I don't think the report said very much anyway, did it, from what I can recall? I just saw questions people had raised about it being ruled a suicide so quickly with no clear evidence whether it was or not, and questions about the trajectory of the bullet, and an unusual...
it's interesting though how people will say that a suspect is clearly a compulsive liar, you can't believe a word they say, they have changed their story over and over, and their behavior has been seen to be bizarre, I.e. they were doing headstands at the police station, singing to themselves in...
well that would be a circular argument though, it would be assuming that she did in fact do it, and therefore must have had a motive. We saw that circular reasoning a lot in media coverage of this case and on the boards, well we see that a lot in general with many of these high profile cases...
Tulessa, I just read the footnote on one of your posts (footnote about your brother.) I was so sorry to read that, but so glad you got justice for your brother and his children. Best wishes to you!
