When you are in the middle of a family like that and that is all you see/live on a daily basis, you don't think like you do when you are on the "outside" again. I imagine the break from him (while he was in jail) made the situation clearer to her. ETA: At least in my experience...

Regarding Myspace and/or Facebook posts. I know for a fact you can use AOL IM through your phone, and if Casey had internet service on her phone she surely could have posted to any of her internet accounts thereby negating the need to physically be at a computer or at the house to post to those...

I, too, want to offer the family my condolences and the strength to get through this. There have been many times I have shaken my head in disbelief when I have listened to them speak (G and A and even L), but I imagine it has only been their attempt to "manage" the reality of their situation...
