WV Talking to locals about the Sodder tragedy

I wish I would have read this a bit sooner! I just moved out of Fayetteville, but I am still willing to be involved in any way that I can. I just haven't been able to get these kids out of my head for years.

Thinking of the Sodders today, as I'm sure many of us are.

I'm guessing that Mrs. Sodder simply thought that the kids had been irresponsible in their Christmas excitement. Not to mention she was half-asleep. Also, I don't think that they really ever gave up as much as they realized they had to let it go or else it would drive them nuts. I know this...

I think that it was mentioned somewhere in these posts that age progression hasn't been done. I'm sure somebody on this site would know how to go about doing it! If cost would be an issue there are probably people who would be willing to give some money to it - I for one would.

This is a very good theory, Laura Bean - now the question is how can we look into it? There are so many good sleuths here I am sure someone can figure something out! If someone wanted to get some sort of revenge on the Sodders and have them pay up debts all at the same time, this would be a good...

It sounds like I was given wrong information on the location - I apologize. I recognize the picture on the NPR article now but cannot place where that house is! I know that I would never bother the new owners out of respect for both them and also for the Sodders. So many people on here have...

Oh & speaking of Janutolo Park, a long time ago on this forum someone expressed interest in it. There is indeed still a well there which has been there since civil war times. That's basically all that Janutolo Park is, is that well.

Hi OHHSBankGeek. This is also my first post, although i have been reading every thread related to the Sodders. I'm from the area, too, and not everyone has forgotten. I am fairly sure that their property was where the new Little General is now. Either there or on the other side of the road...
