If hubby had a brain lesion or tumor, those things can lead to unpredictable and often violent behavior. Coupled with the daughters scary silence, makes things look grim...
Resigned w/o prejudice doesn't mean on good terms per se. A lot of times these have a consent order stating that they are NOT ALLOWED to ever practice law in this state again. And if that isn't part of the agreement, then you'd better believe the ethics investigation would start as soon as she...
So the possibilities are:
1. Melissa was the target. Maybe because of her pregnancy. Or her job
2. Nicole was the target. Maybe because of drugs, or her job.
3. The killing was random. The girls often left their door unlocked.
Random seems less likely, because most random killings IMO...
If he had cash to pay his employees, and the point of the murder was to rob him, why did they wait until AFTER he paid his employees to kill him? Not very smart killers.
The attorney in the initial article is no longer practicing. njcourts.gov website shows she resigned w/o prejudice. Whatever that means. Unfortunately NJ didn't institute electronic filing until well after the initial article. And the criminal docket doesn't allow a search by attorney now...

This seems to indicate she previously had an addiction problem. I wonder if her past came back to kill her now that she was clean.
Seems like LE claims to have a POI. Now that he's named, can we...

She hasn't gotten enough coverage. I really don't think she's in the woods behind the sunoco. Its too small and a well traveled area. I think someone took her, or threw her in the dumpster or something. I also don't believe she's alive. I think someone took advantage of her.
Bumping for Susie. I'm wondering if the "conservator" action was actually more like conservatorship of her assets. Like to sell the house, pay bills, etc.

Before anyone goes too far down the rabbit hole, Freemasons are NOT as secretive as you think. Their entire handbook can be found in the library. Its on the web. Anyone who knows a mason will tell you that they can't even agree on what to have for dinner let alone conquer the world. They're...
Why would her parents think she was in Mexico with a neighbor if she was supposedly just visiting a friend? The place where she went missing from and the place she was found are pretty far apart - google says 109 miles or so. She must've been kidnapped and dropped there.

“He was certainly one of the pillars of the (gay) community when it came to financial support,” said Rus Calisch, a friend and fellow activist. “He extended a helping hand to anyone who needed it.”
