    Someone may have recognized Jason

See this thread from a discussion group devoted to Phish, a band whose fan community overlaps with that of the Grateful Dead - http://phantasytour.com/bands/1/topics/3513848/posts. A poster there asserts that in 1992-94 he knew a fellow Dead fan from Fairfax, Virginia named Jason who had poor...

I think we should be focusing solely on the reported or otherwise-established facts, and not obfuscatory hearsay/speculation.

I thought this site required verification of such claims. Can you supply any sort of solid evidence that you've ever been to Bloomington, Indiana?

Most people would walk a half-mile in about seven to fifteen minutes, depending on how fast you walk. No one does it in 3 minutes.

The height is more than "slightly" off, and I believe, just from memory, that the weight may have been as well. I don't know how we can do better than estimate AB's weight, and certainly no one knows what he was wearing. I'm also missing the "pointed" aspect of his sideburns, whose design is...

Personally, I do not believe a single thing said by someone who: - Says multiple things that are demonstrably untrue (regarding cameras at 5NT, Long QT syndrome, what LS's friends have said about her drug use, and perhaps where ZO/AB live) - Claims to have done independent, journalistic...

LE was clear that nothing happened to LS in the altercation

Yes, I would imagine the guest is the fourth. His existence was reported by HT.

New to this case, and have not read all of the backstory. One theory that admittedly seems inconsistent with some of the evidence: is it possible RG went to the river intending to damage or even dispose of the laptop and slipped and fell into the river, possibly after injuring himself in some...

I'm sur you have read that... from commenters and speculators, rather than in a media report. It has been repeated often as if it were the truth, here and elsewhere, but published articles, read carefully, make clear to me at least that he did not try to contact her. I went over this a few...

That is what I meant. They did have plans, but he never said he couldn't get in touch with her, only that she didn't get in touch with him. I believe the idea that he texted her was an assumption based in significant part on a misreading of an article or two that referred to his texting her the...

I don't, considering what we've heard about her condition on a video taken 20 minutes later (during which time she had not had anything more to drink). Not necessarily, if they were wasted too. Remember, CR can't remember anything as of just before he left the bar - a point that might be untrue...

Between eyewitness reports and video footage, LE assuredly knows who the puncher is and who was with him. They also know something about LS's condition at the time from contemporaneous video if not video of the confrontation itself. They know that LS did not visit her apartment, as they've told...

I disagree. It could simply mean that they, you know, didn't have any coke, which seems more likely than not. If it implies anything to me, it's that LS was already wasted. Again, assumptions that she rejected the offer (I don't think that's clear from jupiter's post - jupiter?) and that the...

It might be even more unfair to ignore the possibility that she was. there are three assumed facts in this scenario that are assumptions and possibly baseless: "not-too-busy," tables, and "extremely loud music." and consider for one thing the sandbox area of the bar. Again, here is an...

I'm referring to LE's official timeline, which includes JR's statement that he saw her round the corner at 4:30 - http://www.usatoday.com/news/nation/2011-06-16-missing-indiana-student-spierer_n.htm

No, we do know he said that, as LE said he did (without naming him). Perhaps that got modified somehow in a later statement (especially if he had been out of it at the time), but that seems unlikely to me, and I don't even know for sure that he's given more than one statement.

I disagree very strongly. I have no evidence that it is unlikely he could see her turn the corner other than the opinion a) of locals who have never been inside JR's apartment (we don't know where he viewed her from or how), and b) that seems inconsistent with the pictures we have been shown...
