The Innocence Project and Darlie Routier

Relative to the boys, her injuries were minor, bordering on superficial. Doctors characterized some of them as having hesitation marks. The wound to her neck, while serious, was still shallow.

What one thing made you sure of her guilt or innocence?

I lived in Dallas at the time of the murders & trial. I followed it very closely at the time. I'll never forget when the "birthday party" at the grave was shown on local tv. My wife and I were setting at a bar after work, and when that came on, she turned and looked at me and said very matter...

    Jon Galt's Timeline

Care to elaborate on the source of this new evidence? Everything I've read indicates both boys blood were on her shirt. I have an MSEE, so I'm not one of those "untrained" in science.

Abc Viola Davis Reviewing Darlie's Case.....

You're right of course. I had forgotten about the PD. Then when the venue turned out to be Kerrville, the defense rapidly reversed course.

Darlie Routier asks for DNA testing

That single print has always been a laughable defense. An intruder so careful that he didn't leave any other evidence somehow slips up, removed the gloves he would have had to be wearing, and leaves a bloody print? Sure....

What do you believe will happen to Darlie Routier?

What I always find ridiculous in reference to the silly string tape was that Darlie invited the media. She clearly knew she was being taped and was ultimately so narcissistic that she couldn't keep her mug off tv.

Abc Viola Davis Reviewing Darlie's Case.....

Amen Cami... Episode 4 was so full of ridiculous conjecture it was embarrassing. I particularly liked how they featured "Darlies friend", as though she was some kind of authority. Her little sister appeared to blame the trial being moved to Kerrville on Greg Davis, when Mulder requested the...

What do you believe will happen to Darlie Routier?

To characterize Doug Mulder as incompetent is ridiculous. He was one of the most successful prosecutors in Dallas County history.

Abc Viola Davis Reviewing Darlie's Case.....

As Cami correctly noted above, there is essentially no evidence that anyone entered or left that house. They continue to comment on the fact that there was "a lot of blood everywhere", yet NO BLOOD at the purported point of egress (the cut screen). Darin made a big deal of the fact that the...

Abc Viola Davis Reviewing Darlie's Case.....

Watched it last night... completely biased and full of misinformation. Kathy Cruz, Darlie Kee, etc. the whole list of usual subjects, spreading their characteristic BS. One of the best was the "they were afraid Darlie was going to die"... never heard that played up so much. Also playing...

Werner Herzog documentary on Darlie - On Death Row

. This is an oft repeated myth. Her bruising was shown in court, her attorney has repeatedly confirmed this. Only one juror claims otherwise.

Should Darlie have a new trial?

Actually only one juror has consistently claimed he didn't see all the pictures / evidence. Doug Mulder has refuted that claim on many occasions.

Was Darin Routier involved in away with the murder or cover up of their boys?

I believe there is a good chance that he knows she is guilty, and covered for her at the time. He may have even helped stage the scene, though I'm not convinced of that. Ultimately, he went along with the intruder theory as the path of least resistance.

Why did the WM3 do it?

Not really what I said... Echols clearly had mental issues, and wanted to act on his fantasies / beliefs... the other two probably just followed his lead... again without much thought to what would happen after. Sorry, but 'theory of the crime' need not be overly complex particularly in a case...

Why did the WM3 do it?

My two cents are as follows: This was a crime of Opportunity Savage curiosity group dynamic bravao Damien, ever the ring leader, saw an opportunity to play out some of his twisted religious / cultist fantasies and took it. Many younger sociopathic killers describe "wanting to...

TX - Five Yates children drowned, Houston, 20 June 2001 *Insanity*

While I agree that PPD or Post-partum psychosis in her case was the genesis of the problem, I'm not convinced that that was the only issue. Her life was fraught with issues outside her PPD/PPP, including "regular" depression, willingness to participate in what was effectively a cult, and...

Leslie Van Houten up for parole again

Manson & his girls deserve as much compassion as they demonstrated during their crimes... She can set her *advertiser censored* where she is until she is old and gray

    Why wasn't Drake killed?

I lived in Dallas when this was going on, and shortly after her arrest Darin took Drake to the Dallas jail where she was being housed. Darin held him up for Darlie to see (yes, a stupid show of "solidarity"). When it was shown on the local news, I heard a guy at my local watering hole quip...

    The Bread Knife

I have always found this to be one of the most compelling indicators of guilt. According to her statement the intruder was a 6' 200 lb male. I'm a 6'1" 250 lb male and it would be impossible for me to get through that window and leave it in near pristine condition. Add to it that the knife...
