Zooming in on satellite views, there appears to be some swamp land in the area as well.

I remember from Brittanee's episode on "Disappeared", it was discussed how super super challenging the swamp terrain was to search (further south).

So sad. Nothing to add except has possible suicide been ruled out?

Here's a link to Brittanee's first thread (it appears she has 16 threads):

Going to see if anything stands out in any of them as far as local info, clues, etc. (Not saying the cases are related, but I think it would be a good place to start. Maybe there are more cases linked.).

I was also wondering if depression has been ruled out...also..could be nothing to this....but....she is linked to a girl (on facebook) ..could it have been a break up

Any possible way robbery could have been a motive here?

For example: (not too far from the area)

*desperately grasping at straws, I know, so many multiple posts (sorry about that), just trying to find some sort of connection somewhere...

I hope LE can provide some new info / leads soon! I hope they will have a PC soon.

Thinking of Heather's family this Christmas Eve.

I would like to trace all the potential routes out of Peach Tree Landing----where are there any surveillance cameras? What about any convenience stores nearby...

I hope they're running dogs all along the routes in case the possible perp tossed something out the window (purse, phone, clothing, etc.)

It might be worth checking craigslist to see if anything of the sort has been found...

Based on the isolated location of where the car was found, I would guess that if there is a possible perp, he is familiar with the area and local?

Using Free White Pages... Heather's parents' address is not on White River Drive...

sooooo..I still wonder the who, what, and why she was at the White River location at 2:00 a.m. when she was last seen...

Here's a link to some general information about where her car was found:

"Socastee is an unincorporated community along the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway, stretching from Murrells Inlet on the East to the Waccamaw River on the West, and from Holmestown Road and Bay Road on the South to SC Highways 544 and 137 (Forestbrook Road) on the North."

I'm guessing that with LE's thorough search they have looked here:

"S.C. 544 Bridge off Peachtree Road in the Socastee community. Boat Ramp.
This marina opened in April, 2003. The landing, located under the SC 544 bridge, features a dual concrete boat ramp with dozens of parking places.

Ugh, I wish there were some locals here to help with the locations!

SPECULATION FOLLOWS, NOTHING MORE:

I'm wondering if the vehicle discovered Monday evening was not Haley's vehicle but perhaps was a perp's vehicle? The perp returned to the location in Haley's vehicle then drove away in his own vehicle?

Either that, or maybe the possible perp had some help? Perhaps an accomplice, or he called someone to pick him up nearby.

So, whose phone pinged in the area during that timeframe?
