But when you think about it, what do we hear about child *advertiser censored* and trafficking? We know it's prevalent, but you rarely hear of arrests, etc. Except for the occasional college professor who has it on his work laptop, then reports it stolen when he's due for a new one.....

http://m.kwwl.com/w/main/story/107760538/

Or was that was regular *advertiser censored*....

i think what we hear, is what TPTB want us to hear. :seeya:

On the *advertiser censored* front, one of the things I've wondered about is whether somebody decided to try their hand at making *advertiser censored* to sell, and somehow accidentally caused the death of one of the girls. Then killed the other one because she knew what happened.

Money is not the motive. If it was, those girls would be alive and not dead. This is MOO.

Revenge - maybe, but then, that is the final act. That is F you to the fullest. Would anyone benefit from doing this act BEFORE the final nail was in their coffin? DM was all delay - delay - delay on his charges, what did someone seeking revenge on he or his wife really get the perp(s)?

I find THOSE dots difficult to connect. So, here I sit. All this time later, from the get, feeling this is not familial related unless indirectly or loosely.

My third possibility. The happenstance, watched one of the cousins elsewhere, fixated, the other was the bonus, the extra. That leaves me with sick, disturbed, blech - shudder. Local or local knowledge, knowledge of Seven Bridges and not just the place but with the knowledge that it is much less used now and and the time of the disposal of our cousins :(

I don't think money was the motive. Although I am open to other motives being a possibility, my number 1 question from day 1 is the basis of my number 1 belief...

"Who benefited from Dan changing his plea and ultimately going to prison???"

It is my belief and only my opinion that the girls were kidnapped to ensure that Dan didn't speak or narc on his accomplices, dealers, or suppliers. When he kept going back and forth, changing his plea, prolonging his court appearances, or even narced on someone to get lighter sentence (which hasn't been made public), etc, the girls were killed.

Just curious, has there been any mention of trials, apprehension, or jail time for his known accomplices...

http://www.ktiv.com/story/19152101/search-for-missing-girls-continues

Are they still "on the run", in jail, or home? If and when they were apprehended or sentenced, did they still have time before to kill and dispose of the girls?

As far as I can tell, J Stolfus has had his trial for the drug bust with Dan continued forever and ever. Here's the lastest update. We'll see if it gets another continuance soon. They were busted 12/11.

Sadly most child pornographers have easy access to their prey without having to go out abducting it.

I meant "profit" as non-financial. Who benefitted from the girls disappearing even for a few days?

I see the abduction as one crime and the murder as a separate crime with a different motive.

My apologies for changing the subject but just got this on JC via vinelink.

This e-mail is to inform you that JERAMIA COOK has been released from custody as of 2/5/2014. If you have any concerns about your immediate safety, contact your local law enforcement agency, or if you have an emergency, call 911

I don't see him in the BOP system. Not sure if this means his trial is over and he's off to federal prison. DOC doesn't have him. It's can take a day or two to update. Maybe the news will pick this up?

eta, he could be released for court too?

I was thinking of an amateur, probably somebody young, wanting what (probably he) thinks is easy money. Probably didn't start as kidnapping, more likely lured them with the possibility of money or tricked them. But considering some of the crimes young people have committed recently, maybe he/they did just grab them and figure on disposing them when they were done.

Might be somebody they knew, might be a juvenile sex offender, might be somebody who never did anything but fantasize before. Or I suppose most anybody desperate for money might have concocted the scheme.

I don't know if I'd go so far as to call it a theory of mine -- just another scenario that might work with the paucity of evidence.

Just MOO. . people don't kill their assets.

I am really trying to keep an open mind here. There are definitely some weird coincidences, timing wise. But this is not a clear cut case to me at all. My gut from the beginning was that this was sexually motivated, MK type, crime. We will see.

My biggest fear is that LE went down the wrong path from the beginning. It wouldn't be the first time. I wish we had some answers. :(

A professional wouldn't, certainly.

I hope it's Klunder. That would fit, and while it would be sick and tragic and heartbreaking, it would mean there's only one psychopathic killer out there. But I'm afraid it might not be...

BBM Is a warning like that normal procedure?

Something to consider.

What were your very first thoughts about the disappearance of the girls (before the focus was on the Morrissey's drug-related issues), and what other thoughts came to mind at the time. Sometimes "first thought" is the "best thought", prior to all of the distractions and tangents.

??

Same goes for what you first thought when they were found.

MOO

My very first thought was that they had drown. They just had to be in the lake. Then after a day or two, my mind went to "where could they possibly be", coupled with how calm and collected Misty was on camera. After they were found, it was how did they get there? What's the connection? How long were they there? Since the day they disappeared?

My very first thought was "staged abduction" and I have seen nothing to alter that theory since.

In fact the goings on afterward have only solidified that suspicion.

Wow...!

If you want to be a criminal head to Iowa - they catch you then let you out!

I can only hope JC is in federal custody now, such a determined offender should not be on the streets with his filed down guns.

Watch this space - if he disappears he's in witness protection.

I came over from Jessica Ridgway's case, and my first thought was that the same person had taken them both -- somebody on a crime spree.

When it became apparent that wasn't the case, I started to think staged abduction. Staged by who, I don't know.

Unfortunately, due to TOS, I cannot say what my first thoughts were . . . but, like many locals I spoke with after the girls' disappearance I was horrified of what I feared we might someday learn about the nature of their disappearance. More specifically, who (plural) disappeared them and why. Many posters on this thread have questioned the silence of locals - the lack of outrage over a more visible investigation. I don't believe for a second that locals feel as if their children are in danger of being abducted and murdered by some killer still out on the loose. I believe there is a common gut feeling here that LE knows exactly who did what and when, and they are focused on making sure their investigation is tight. Like, SS, I have not once waivered from this theory.

do you think any of these factored in: drugs, *advertiser censored*, jealousy, hatred, pedophilia, sex trafficking, revenge

I'm watching and he hasn't showed up anywhere yet. We'll see. You just might be right.

My first thought, Dan. I remember early reports on that day were about how he didn't have custody of Lyric so my mind focused on him. He arrived around 5pm, etc... Later, even though he was a druggie loser, I tried and tried to make him fit but don't know enough about him except his court records and not his personality. I can only go by what others have said that do know him. It's about 80/20 not favorable. jmo Since then there's been MM, TB, BB, JC, JJB & RL and of course, Klunder. Just waiting for an answer anymore & follow those arrested close to the girls.

Bunnyhop, When you sign up to follow a prisoner in a state via Vinelink, you get updates for when they are moved or no longer in prison etc.. It can be because they are being moved to a different prison, they have court, overcrowding, or have been sent to an intake prison due to fights, sickness etc...Vinelink doesn't usually tell you but some states will put in the email they are being transported to court or even if they are getting a furlough for good behavior or funeral etc...You can sign up via email, TTY & phone/cell. Many victims do sign up but I've seen some pretty lax updates for some I've followed. hth

You guys would probably be horrified to know our criminals are protected by our privacy laws just like everone else.

There are no public records.

No mug shots

no websites

i could have 50 RSO'S in my street for all i know.

if someone commits a crime Joe Public doesnt know about it....unless its newsworthy per Baden Clay.

The only images of him after the arrest have been court sketches.
