Andrea Lyon is on Casey Anthony&#8217;s defense dream team and she's supposed to be the expert on the death penalty. Eyewitness News obtained an audio recording of Andrea Lyon bashing judges, female prosecutors, victim's advocates and even calling jurors &#8220;killers.&#8221; Lyon made the comments at a conference in Orlando (Listen: part 1 | part 2) before she joined Casey's defense team.

WFTV legal analyst Bill Sheaffer (watch interview) calls her comments outrageous.

Before she joined Casey Anthony's defense team, death penalty expert Andrea Lyon made some harsh, patronizing comments at an Orlando conference last year.

WFTV legal analyst Bill Sheaffer said of Lyon's comments, "It is certainly not something that a true professional, whether you're defense or a prosecutor, really tries to do."

In that report, Belich explained that Lyon "calls jurors killers, tries to delay trials as long as she can and drags out closing arguments as long as she can."

Analyst Sheaffer explained Lyon's approach as "I don't care how I win as long as I win."

Casey Anthony&#8217;s defense team filed new motions Monday asking the court to order Tim Miller, founder of Texas EquuSearch, to turn over the names of the thousands of volunteers who helped search for Caylee Anthony last summer. The motion includes statements from two of the volunteers who searched the area where the child&#8217;s remains were found last December and both say they did not find anything unusual.

The court has not scheduled at date for the motion to be heard.

Defense Files Motion Demanding EquuSearch Docs

There was more action in the case against Casey Anthony Monday. Late Monday afternoon, Casey's defense team filed another motion demanding all Texas EquuSearch paperwork regarding the search for Caylee Anthony.

The organization claimed no volunteers searched the woods where Caylee was found, but the defense claims it found EquuSearch volunteers who did.

Also, a former volunteer with Texas-based EquuSearch, who's been a well-known Anthony family advocate since the beginning, says she was questioned by detectives Monday. Joy Wray claims she has information on her home computer that would prove Casey's innocence.

If the witnesses claim proves true, it could support the defense's claim that a stranger dumped the toddler's body in the woods while Casey Anthony was already in jail.

The defense team said Monday they've located two additional volunteers whose names did not appear on the list provided by Miller, both of whom claim they were in the same area on where the toddler's body was found, but did not find Caylee.

In a motion just filed with the clerk's office, Jose Baez and Casey's defense team accused Tim Miller and his Texas Equusearch group of lying to the court.

The defense says they've found more people in the course of their own investigation ..

And as a result, they want the judge to order Equusearch to turn over all records relating to their search for Caylee Anthony.

Two of Casey Anthony's nationally-recognized defense attorneys said they were just doing their jobs -&#8211; and the state's -- as they made national television appearances naming the man who found Caylee Anthony's body as a suspect in the girl's death.

"It's an attempt to do the state's job for them. We brought them evidence," said Linda Kenney Baden during an interview Friday with Local 6.

Asked how their client was holding up in the Orange County Jail, where she's been held without bond since her indictment on Oct. 14, 2008, Lyon said, "She's scared. I mean, wouldn't you be scared? She's scared. She's sad. She's grief-stricken and she's terrified."

Baden pounced on Pipitone's question about whether the defense is trying to divert attention from Anthony. "It's an attempt to do the state's job for them," Baden said. "They pointed the finger at this poor young girl who did something very, very, very stupid in terms of not reporting her child missing."

Baden also explained why the defense had given an interview to Pipitone: "The local media, with the exception of some of the reporting that we've seen from you Tony, and that's why we're here, has taken everything they've seen at face value or the leaks they saw early on and publicized them improperly against our client."

I must say that I received quite the response to my criticism of Mr. Sheaffer (In Defense of the Casey Anthony Defense). And if there is one thing I learned, it is that the purpose of criticism can get lost in the accompanying rhetoric. So lesson learned &#8211; no more suspender references.

Well, as many of you know, Mr. Sheaffer sent a response to Hal Boedeker (Casey Anthony: WFTV&#8217;s Bill Sheaffer says, &#8216;I &#8230; strive to consistently deliver sound legal analysis&#8217;) that was well written and very refined &#8211; no different than how Mr. Sheaffer speaks publicly. I respect him for that, but again, it has never been the tone in which he delivers his opinion that bothers me &#8211; it has been the accuracy of his content.

So know this, I will be on you like white on rice. You have sold out your colleagues (I hope FACDL kicks you out) and besmirched our profession.

Every comment you say from here on out will by hyper-analyzed &#8211; just like you hyper-analyze everyone else. The only problem is I know what I am talking about.

Let the games begin.

A woman who helped search for Caylee Anthony has been interviewed by the Orange County Sheriff's Office almost a year after the little girl's body was found.

Joy Wray, who spent hours searching for Caylee Anthony's body as a Texas Equusearch volunteer, has had to give up her computer and be questioned by detectives. A search warrant was served at her home.

"We took it down. It was an editorial judgment," WFTV news director Bob Jordan said today. "Our feeling is the story had its run."

The station had received a call from Barry Wax, a Miami lawyer who puts on the seminar and gets the speakers for the professional group.

"We pulled it down as a courtesy to the attorney," Jordan said. "He said it compromises his ability get attorneys to come to his seminars as presenters."

In a report from the so-called "body farm" in Tennessee, Dr. Arpad Vass found a substance called "adipocere," which is commonly referred to as "grave wax" on paper towels recovered from a trash bag inside Anthony's car trunk. That dark, flaky substance he said comes from decomposing fatty tissues in humans and pigs.

Haskell also concluded that from the colonization of coffin flies at the scene, Caylee's remains were dumped there as early as late June. Combine that with evidence of "grave wax" from the towels and matching hairs from the scene and trunk, it appears to be a forensic trail leading right back to Casey Anthony, the source said.
