JMO (of course) but I am not at all surprised about the homicide investigation. If they don't start now there would not be anything (evidence) left to track... I hope they have been working this all along. Like Tricia said, we are kinda split between is he alive or not.. I think any of us can make a good start in the arguement for either side!

Only if they think that EJ will tell them who the couple is do I think this would be a ploy..
I think they know by now that she isn't talking, and certainly will not help.

I am forever trying to just get caught up however if I don't post now I will likely forget what I want to say! ;-)
We know that Gabe made it to San Antonio, 1) the babysitter, 2) time stamped pictures from EJ's camera. This is where the trail ends. I highly doubt he was smuggled on the bus alive, I mean I don't know of a baby who would not make noise and if he was already deceased wouldn't there have been an odor?
If Gabe really was handed off to a couple, by the time he was reported missing and by the time his picture got out, he could be in a different state or country. If this was an illegal adoption, the new parents would have already have had all of the fake paperwork in order, or at least I would think that they did.
What this case needs now tho is for EJ to talk. I say let Texas have her, we KNOW that Gabe was in Texas. Bring her back, charge her with murder, and I want to say if the child is under the age of 6, she can be charged with capital murder which would make her eligible for the death penalty.
Us Texans don't take murder lightly......and this may be what needs to happen to get EJ talking.

A blog comment on a scrapbooking website is also being investigated by Tempe, AZ authorities. Whoever wrote the entry says they are from Wisconsin but are currently in San Antonio where they adopted a young boy named Gabriel on January 4th.
I was looking for ads this woman from Wisconsin might have answered and in doing so found the one in Madison, WI and then found all the others placed by member "forthsmith"
Considering the Smith's are a family of 3...maybe EJ considered herself the 4th Smith...hence "forthsmith"

This may have already been discussed, but please fill me in anyway. Has it been said what EJ was seen getting on the bus with? What carry on luggage she may have had. The reason I ask, and I know no one wants to think about this but if she got on the bus with a large book bag or something like that she could have had Gabriel inside it and dumped him anywhere between Texas and Florida. What I am asking is did she get off the bus in Florida with the same amount of luggage she got on the bus with in Texas? I know buses make many stops aalong the way, because I have road a bus before.
