Police are asking for the public's assistance in locating a 27-year-old city woman who has not been heard from since Thursday night.

Jessica Elizabeth Lloyd last contacted a family friend via a text message at 10:36 p.m. Thursday. Lloyd did not show up at her work Friday and all attempts to contact her have been unsuccessful, city police report. Her family describes these events as "out of character" for her.

Lloyd is described as five-foot-five and 125 pounds with green eyes and dark brown, shoulder length hair. She has a tattoo of an intricate "L" along the width of her lower back. Lloyd may be wearing a green and white ski jacket.

Anyone with any information on Lloyd's whereabouts is asked to contact Belleville city police at 613-966-0882.

UPDATE: Apparently "Ryan Matthews" name was asked to be taken out of all releases/social networking sites.

Update on Jessica's case: Looking for a newer White/Grey Chevy truck the guy has a very Muscular build going by the assumed name Ryan Matthews and supposedly an electrician from the Kingston area. Any information or leads contact Belleville Police or Andy at 613 922 6334

Apparently this man's name is assumed fake, no photo whatsoever, but also is assumed that she may have met him on an online dating site such as POF or CK.

If anyone has any information, please feel free to add it here!

When she didn’t show up for work the next day at Tri-Board Student Transportation Services, a company that buses area children to school, the alarm bells went off.

Family and friends tried to contact her, but to no avail.

When they visited her house, her car was still there, as was her purse, her wallet and her identification. She was nowhere to be found.

A Facebook group dedicated to finding her had more than 7,000 members as of Saturday evening, leaving Lloyd’s older brother, Andy, astounded by the outpouring of support.

“I’d like to thank every single person who helped – it’s been actually amazing,” he said, adding that many people who didn’t know his sister have pitched in.

“Thanks from the bottom of my heart.”

It was first released she may be wearing a green and white ski jacket… but posts on the social networking site have said that jacket was found in her home… along with her purse, keys, and other items.

Search attempts are being conducted at 9:30 A.M. Sunday morning at the Thurlow Community Centre on Harmony Rd near the residence of Jessica Llloyd.

I am a bit confused why search attempts are being made when no information has been made PUBLIC with facts yet. I know there is a lot of LE activity near her residence as well as other key vehicles, and helicopters flying very low overhead scanning the fields.

Let's bring Jessica home!

A is where the Thurlow Community Centre is on Harmony Road off Hwy 37.

Harmony Road is very long as goes straight in Tyendinaga, the first half of it (in town) is fairly residential with a school, greenfield park, some businesses, a golf course, etc.

I would say that driving down harmony road (going into the reserve) took me a good 25 minutes, and was at least 20 km +. It gets fairly woody out of the residential area, but is mostly flat off the roads.

Dozens of police officers and a throng of volunteers are searchingfor a Belleville woman who has mysteriously gone missing.
Belleville police Deputy Chief Paul Vandegraaf said some 40 officers including members of the Tactical Team, the ATV Unit, and Auxiliary Police Unit and the Stirling-Rawdon Police Service are searching for 27-year-old Jessica Lloyd.
Volunteers are helping police canvass the area around Lloyd's residence, just north of Harmony Road on Highway 37.
Police started their investigation after Lloyd didn't turn up for work Friday. The last time her family heard from her was Thursday night, police said.
"We are conducting a very methodical co-ordinated search of the immediate area around that house," Vandegraaf said. "We will continue to broaden that search area as we get more information."
A large group of family and friends gathered outside a Belleville Tim Hortons Saturday in an effort to kick-start the search for the missing woman. Family members said hundreds of volunteers, family and friends were handing out posters in cities and towns across the region.
The posters being issued by family has a picture of Lloyd and a full description of what she looks like. The posters also have the name of a man who is listed as a person of interest
