So many say the cotton would disenegrate, yet they found blue cotton fibers.
The blue cotton had some protection from the elements. It was tangled in the mass of hair and under duct tape.

Nurses tear off the number of pieces of tape they will need ahead of time, like for instance when doing a dressing change. They often get so used to doing it that way that even when taping other things (non medical) they will do the same.

And it's logical to think they may pass that trick on to family members.

She probably also knew that she would have less of a struggle the faster she got ALL the tape in place.. It wasn't a fast tear tape..so the time between tearing pieces would be more of a struggle, unless of course she had her hands bound...which may explain the extra pieces of duct tape found at the dump site. I do however, believe it was placed on Caylee when she was alive.
How awful to think about.

When using these calipers and comparing the tape from Calylee and the can, It sure would be nice to know if the tape from the can was from the August 1st collectio or from the December 11th collection. Its hard for me to give creedence to these comparisons without knowing that fact.

The evidence sheets released by the SA show this tape was collected as a result of the December 11 search warrant. The tape was not collected from the can on August 1. It was left on the can when returned as it was not known at the time it was important to the case.

Thank you for responding. How do we know it was left on the can? Did they document that somehow? I know you showed me the comparison of the color photo (Dec 11th) and the black and white photo (Aug 1st) It does look kind of like the same crinkles but the picture is way too grainy to really know.

I respect your input and was hopeing you could shed some light on this matter.

Go to page 159 of the deposition with George. Start reading from there. They have just shown him the photograph of the gas can with the duct tape on it and he starts spazzing out about "I didn't put that there!" (freak freak - mentions brand of duct tape when nobody has even asked him about the brand - just really wets down both legs). Then when you get to page 163 Ashton states:

"This photograph was taken August 1st of 2008, according to our records."

The duct tape was on the can when they first confiscated on August 1st.

Could some one please link me to the post where the WS'r found the second poster shot with Henkel duct tape? After Kathi Belich found hers? I'm wanting to reference it and I can't find it.

In todays doc dump, the FBI report said the duct tape from the remains matched the duct tape from the gas can, so they came from the same roll. In the previous doc dump the FBI report said they were dissimilar, and did not come from the same roll. Todays report says further testing was needed. Which FBI report is correct?

In today dump it was on page 7 I believe. I found it to be from Dec 19th. I was the same doc that was dumped a long time ago. Since then it had a fabric analysis. I dont know why they are putting old docs in new dumps. It sure can be confusing.

It will all become very clear at trial though.

A roll of Henkel duct tape can be seen in this video of George at the command center.

Thanks!! Where oh where can that roll of Henkel tape from the box on the table have gone? And who would have brought such a handy box of useful items with him to the command center? Probably some detail-oriented kind of guy who likes to have the right tools for the right job close at hand...

from Orlando Sentinel article: http://www.orlandosentinel.com/news...-anthony-documents-20100216-1,0,4785241.story

"So far, investigators have seized a roll of Henkel brand duct tape from the Anthony family home."

Did I miss something? :waitasec: I don't remember this info ever coming out in the doc dumps.

TIA

Bet someone is hyperventilating if this news is correct. We can expect another essay from George entitled Brand Loyalty, It is over rated.
