Documents submitted to the court, and dated October 24, state: "Law enforcement was informed that Zahra Baker was deceased, that her body had been dismembered and that it would be recovered at different sites."

Zahra's prosthetic leg was recovered at the first site and later a bone, identified as belonging to Zahra, was recovered.

"Elisa Baker identified the object found as a part of a prosthetic leg and specifically identified it as a gel liner that belonged to Zahra Baker," the court documents state.

Tony Scheer, a legal expert, said he doubted a judge would lower the bond after reading the details revealed in the court filing. Scheer said the document could lead to more warrants and an increased bond.

District Attorney Jay Gaither told Channel 9 Eyewitness News that it could be a few weeks before Elisa Baker gets another bond hearing.

Attorney weighs in on Elisa Baker’s bond reduction motion

– Elisa Baker might be the most disliked, mistrusted and suspicious person in the Zahra Baker homicide investigation.

Owen calls their motion a “strategy.” It could reduce in a lesser bond for Baker.

“As the facts lay out there, she is doing exactly the opposite of obstructing justice. So it gives the judge something to consider,” said Owen.

District Attorney James Gaither, who is handling the investigation, said in a lengthy interview Tuesday that he will not pressure police investigators to make an arrest.

Certainly the recovery of the remains of Zahra Baker was a critical part of the investigation but it doesn't mean that investigation is complete or that we are ready at this point to go forward with charges.

Gaither also raised questions about Lisa Dubbs, the lawyer who has been appointed to represent Elisa Baker if she is charged with murder. Gaither questioned why Dubbs and a private investigator working for her went out and picked up important physical evidence in the case.
