Was the site where Jennifer was found considered a "crime scene"?

Has LE formally announced this vs. a dump spot?

Sorry if this is common knowledge already

'A dump spot is a crime scene, CuriousGuy'.. A Homicide can have multiple crime scenes involved. Imo, this was, only the dump site.. The van location, was also a crime scene. It has yet to be considered a homicide by LE, but I think most reasonable thinking people can read the writing on the wall...There is a minimum of three crime scenes in the murder of Jennifer Ramsaran, imo...

A few MSM articles reported that LE believes her body "rolled down a small embankment," so I believe the location of where her body was found is considered one of a few crime scenes in this particular case as Fox stated (cell phone location and parking lot location would be others).

Thanks. I guess what I am saying is if she wasn't actually killed where her body was found, but was moved there then I lean more to the perp knowing Jennifer(as if I already didn't) :)

Thank you Lola. IMO if it is a dump spot, it significantly increases the likelihood the perp was known to Jennifer.

Unlike sexual predators/serial killers such as Ted Bundy, who had ritual grounds or burial sites, this would be considered a disposal/dump site. Ted Bundy, who would revisit the site to relive the crime, the perp that took Jennifer Ramsaran's life wanted to distance himself from her murder..for obvious reasons, imo..

Hope today has been a great memory of what a great person Jenn was and how she helped so many people in her life, I hope her children get to know this as they grow up. Nice to see press releases on how much she helped people so much despite her own problems in life, good on you girl, rest in peace.

Seems like we are all a little a little sad with the results but grateful for the interview this morning.

I wanted to ask Pob-did you contact LE? Thinking you may have some information that would be helpful to them. Even if to just advise there are missing pieces from her profile. They may not realize the amount of data deleted.

I removed some posts and want to explain why because it's a grey area and I'm sure no one meant any harm.

Please do not discuss the husband's family dynamics because we don't have a named POI in this case. Plus, it isn't fair to the family, who is reading here. Thank you all for understanding.

Tbh, no I haven't. I don't think I can add anymore than people have already told them. The times Jenn logged in that morning etc I'm sure they already know. I'm kind of thinking they'll say "Yeah, tell us something we don't know!"

Pob ~ What's the worst that can happen by you sharing?
It might very well help.
In my personal experience with this case, I've never heard anything but profuse thanks, even when telling LE something they already knew.
What if everyone didn't speak up because they "thought" LE already knew something they really didn't?
Please call them. Lt. Cobb is a nice guy.

Excellent post, Jillian.. This is called the shattered Vase Analogy/Metaphor:

When serious leads aren't followed up by law enforcement, Bill and Jan Smolinski scour the woods for the remains of their missing son Billy, who was murdered in August 2004.

Story and Photographs By John Murray

Picture the murder of Billy Smolinski as a crystal vase. Hold it in your hands. Spin it around. Now drop it on the kitchen floor and watch it shatter into a thousand pieces. Each shard of glass represents a clue into who killed Billy on August 24th, 2004. When patched together the vase reveals the gruesome truth of who murdered Billy, and why. The vase points to the spot Billy is buried in the Naugatuck Valley.

In the best of circumstances it would take a master craftsman to cobble that broken vase back together, but what if the glass is left on the floor for weeks, for months, for seven years? Glass gets kicked around into the living room, the dining room and gets jammed into the rubber soles of your shoes and is transported into the yard, into town, and across state borders. You send investigators into each room to collect glass, but shockingly they refuse to share what they gather with the other investigators. With ego and selfishness erupting all around you, what are the chances of ever getting that vase glued back together?

It's better to call & have nothing to add but be thanked for your offer than not call & have something that is needed. People never really know the inside case details & what would truly be helpful to LE. In Jennifer's honor, it's really better to call & make sure, you could have a little gem they weren't aware was available.

awesome. you won't regret it.

I have a friend missing right now. LE stated they only need that one dot to connect all dots. Sadly, they don't have it yet. But your info may be that one dot to connect all those dots. Please email or call LE, you may never know if you have the dot if you don't. Thanks so much!

Thanx Pob, for giving Jennifer Ransaran, a voice...

Awesome story to reference Foxfire-this families story is amazing-both frustrating & inspiring.

I will do in the morning, tbh I've never been asked questions as part of a homicide before, kind of puts me on edge. But YES I will call in the morning!
