Tip Leads Police to Man in Heeringa Case; Questioning Underway
FOX 17 News has learned that one of the several persons of interest in the Jessica Heeringa disappearance was being questioned Wednesday night at the Norton Shores Police Department.
FOX 17′s Ann Marie LaFlamme reports the man was named in a tip, then was pulled over while driving and brought into the police department for questioning.

The 25-year-old gas station clerk disappeared around 11 p.m. Friday from the Exxon gas station on Sternberg Road.

In a tent in strip mall parking lot, they sit. Family members of Jessica Heeringa spend their days not far from where she was last seen: An Exxon gas station at 1196 Sternberg Road.
They pass out fliers with her photo on it in hopes someone may have seen the 25 year old mother, who police believe was abducted while she worked at the gas station Friday night.

Just a couple of minutes earlier. That’s what keeps going through Craig Harpster’s mind as he plays back the events the night he felt something was terribly wrong. That’s the night 25-year-old Jessica Heeringa disappeared from her shift at the Exxon gas station.
“Usually, she’s cleaning and I knew something wasn’t right,” said Harpster.
Like clockwork every week, Harpster gets off work at 11pm. By 11:07, he says he’s usually getting gas at the Exxon station, like he did the night of April 26th.

Day six in search for Jessica Heeringa
Norton Shores police continue to question people based upon tips from the public, but have not developed a suspect in the abduction of Jessica Heeringa.
Heeringa, 25, vanished from the Sternberg Road Exxon Mobil where she worked on Friday night. Police believe she was abducted by a person driving a gray or silver minivan -- possibly a Chrysler Town and Country.

Shelly Heeringa moved away from the Muskegon area about six months ago, and she said not having family around was hard on her daughter, Jessica Heeringa.
Now that Jessica is missing, Shelly is cherishing the last moments they spent together.
“I’m so glad I seen her that Wednesday,” Shelly said as television crews and volunteers milled about in the parking lot of The Pointes shopping plaza in Norton Shores. “I was able to tell her how much I loved her.”
