I don't think they have 2 kids. Nobody else is reporting that and there wasn't another kid on their Facebook pages. And why would he not pick them up from daycare? This is likely an officer misspeaking early in the investigation.

I'm curious, Cherry, if the information the coroner continues to need includes detailed descriptions of the CPR performed on this child.

If he was there on concrete and received CPR for quite awhile from people in a panic, he could very well appear to have been beaten to death. I suspect that's what's causing some delay in the autopsy results, and the coroner to ask the investigators for better details.

Broken ribs would be likely.

I agree... nothing I have seen other than the one comment by Sgt Pierce indicates they have more than 1 child. And until the inconsistencies were raised, I had such sympathy for this father... not that I can understand forgetting you have a baby in the car, but it does happen, sadly. It will be interesting to see what the next few days bring.

Uhhh... Moving on.

Does anyone have any information on the family life situation? Are the parents still married to each other?

Does anyone else feel like there could be a PR firm at work here? Or did Harris just get really fortunate that the story is being presented in a way that has caused thousands of people to donate and sign petitions?

Yes! Watch this support video for Ross Harris that I found on YouTube. It's like a political ad. Seriously, brace yourself....

I haven't understood the online donation part yet at all. I read funeral costs in one link, but that is a whhhoooooolllle 'nother soapbox altogether for me. Along with medical, dental, homeowners, car, etc..... insurance or savings to cover funeral expenses is a personal responsibility. Even if I didn't open up insurance policies on my children at birth to cover the unexpected, we'd figure it out, even if we had to borrow the money. I wouldn't want "online donations" to be solicited for it. My :twocents:.

I read that it is for his defense.

All that being said, I truly HOPE that they are wrong... and I HOPE this man did NOT murder his baby. While that will not bring this angel back, I know that it would be the one bright spot in this tragedy. I certainly hope whatever information they have, is wrong. And more than anything, I hope this story makes people slow down a little, and not allow themselves to be so distracted that they could possibly leave a child in the car...

No, but I found it odd that during the CNN coverage where Pierce is quoted quite a bit he says something about being in touch with or having spoken to the mother but not being able to give any details

That seems strange to me - as if some inconsistency revolves around her or she is not on same page as dad or something. Something is off the way he worded that MOO

WOW, you are right!!! I've seen political ads look less political than this...

When I first watched it, I thought the beginning was a YouTube Ad running before the support video started.

After watching the support video I wonder if he or the wife comes from a wealthy and well connected family.

maybe donations paid for the ad. Or someone devoted to the innocence of this man volunteered their expertise.

Very strange case.

Might be climbing back up on the fence.

Even if the sgt misspoke, you would think that the other subsequent press (like CNN) outlets would have asked him about that other child. And yet no one has?

I cannot find any other mention nor any correction to that business about a second hild that was dropped at daycare.

That is a huge difference IMO??

My initial thought as well.
The wording was off imo.

If he worked at Home Depot's store, then probably not. I am hearing conflicting info about whether he worked for the corporate office or for the retail store.

I'm thinking if the high temp for the day was 88...that wouldn't have been reached until way way after 9am. Closer to 2 or 3 IMO.
So the child should have been alive & well for quite sometime, the majority of those 7 hours...yet he was in full rigor?

I have read that it was 91 by noon. If you google search, it comes up in many articles. (I'm sorry, I can't get this stupid think to paste a link!!!)
