David NIXON was renting a room on Quigley Road and would visit his family who lived on Glen Echo Drive, on an almost daily basis. On Friday, July 6, 1984, after visiting with his mother, he left the family home around 11:00 am. David's uncle then spoke with him between 12:00 and 1:00 pm in downtown Hamilton around King and James Street. The uncle invited David to join him for a coffee but David declined stating he was late and had to go and meet someone. David was last seen walking westbound on King Street West from James Street.

Brady first picked up the case when it was about 20 years cold and he's never put it down, mostly because of that family and what they've been through. He may not have succeeded in finding Nixon, but he can at least give them a single, caring, point of contact; which explains why he's talking to a reporter on his day off. "They've done everything they can do," said Brady. So, it seems, has he.
He believes that Nixon a religious young man, devoted to his mother, with no criminal connections never left the city. Foul play, he admits, is "the most likely explanation I can come up with... There was nothing to suggest he packed up and left... there's no suspicious behaviour." To date, he's ruled out something like 133 corpses, skeletons, remains, reports and sightings.
Reports from the day say Nixon left behind his ID, his latest unemployment cheque, his clothes, and he never touched his bank account.
David is described as a white male, 5'10" and 150 pounds, with blue eyes and curly light brown hair.
