Interesting, easy read about panty-snatchers.
RW came to mind of course, but the part about Japanese schoolgirls earning some extra money had me wondering about RW living in Korea..

http://www.examiner.com/article/teenage-boys-stealing-women-s-panties-normal-or-not

"Some grown men even admit to still having this fetish. There are testimonies from adult men who admit to stealing underwear from their neighbors, or searching through their friends' hampers when they are invited over for parties. It's enough to make many women cringe and feel a little creeped out.

Further research only compounds the unbelievability of the whole thing. There are a number of online stores who actually sell used women's underwear, in an attempt to stop the stealing (and make a buck or two themselves, I'm sure). In Japan, it is said that they often sell used women's panties in vending machines along with cigarettes and alcoholic beverages. Another disturbing report from Japan is that often schoolgirls sell their own used undies on the streets to make some extra money, very much like American girls babysit."

"The wife of serial killer Russell Williams has lost a pivotal court battle with one of her husband’s sexual assault victims—a ruling that could force Mary Elizabeth Harriman to testify, for the first time, about her marriage to the notorious ex-colonel.

Laurie Massicotte, who was ambushed in her living room and held captive at knifepoint just weeks before Williams committed his first murder, has won the right to amend a lawsuit she first filed in 2011 against the disgraced military officer and his long-time spouse. With the approval of an Ontario judge, Massicotte’s statement of claim now includes an explosive accusation that no one—not detectives, not prosecutors, not any other victim—has ever made: that Harriman “was aware” of her husband’s “illicit conduct” but “did not report that conduct to the police.”

"Laurie Massicotte, who initially filed suit against Williams and Mary Elizabeth Harriman in 2011, has submitted an amended statement of claim that alleges Harriman "was aware" of her husband's "illicit conduct" but "did not report that conduct to police," Maclean's says.

Harriman's statement of defence rejects the claim, saying Massicotte has "provided no evidence whatsoever to support" her "frivolous" and "vexatious" claim.

“These allegations are scandalous and are nothing more than an attempt to diminish Ms. Harriman in the eyes of the public and the eyes of the Court," Harriman's lawyers said in a prepared statement to Maclean's"

"Dateline Saturday Night Mystery reports on Col. David Russell Williams, who had murdered 2 women and assaulted 2 others. Keith Morrison doesn’t tell us why, but an online source says that Russell’s behavior became erratic after he took painkiller Prednizone"

What was the name of the show?

"Dateline" is the name of the tv show. They ran a 2 hr documentary about RW's case. It was a rerun, it first aired back in 2011

The Canadian Forces didn’t waste any time ridding itself of Russell Williams. As soon as the disgraced ex-colonel pleaded guilty, the military stripped him of all his medals, revoked his commission, and booted him from the air force on the grounds of “service misconduct”—the gravest breach possible. Military police even torched the killer’s uniforms. (The commander’s office at CFB Trenton didn’t need another overhaul; construction crews took care of that within days of his arrest, tearing up the carpet, painting the walls and delivering fresh furniture.)

But there was one thing the Forces couldn’t touch: Williams’s pension, believed to be worth $60,000 a year."

Suits against Russell Williams settled

Maclean's reports financial settlements were reached in lawsuits launched by Williams's first sexual assault victim, "Jane Doe", and another by the family of murder victim Jessica Lloyd.

The report says the actions against Harriman will be dismissed.

Maclean's reported that another lawsuit against Williams remains active.

Settled for his wife, no doubt.

http://www.macleans.ca/news/canada/russell-williams-clings-to-his-pension/

"Russell Williams’s military pension is believed to be worth roughly $60,000 a year, which means the killer ex-colonel has received nearly a quarter-million dollars worth of retirement benefits since his career in uniform came to a shocking end in 2010. At the penitentiary canteen, there is nothing he can’t afford.

But, four years after Williams was sentenced to life behind bars—and four years after the Canadian Forces confirmed that his pension is irrevocable, regardless of his sadistic crimes—Ontario’s highest court is about to weigh in on the former commander’s controversial retirement plan. And Williams, now locked in a solitary cell in rural Quebec, is fighting back against the one victim seeking a piece of his generous pension".

Massive FBI study on serial killers..
http://www.bramptonguardian.com/new...ght-on-the-lives-and-minds-of-serial-killers/

"Serial killers generally operate close to home. The study found that 72.3 per cent of killers do all of their murders in the same state. Many of the other killings were done in bordering states.
“The offenders who operated interstate either lived in areas that were adjacent to state borders, were geographically close; were employed in occupations that allowed state to state travel (i.e. long haul truck drivers); or they were transitory in their lifestyles and moved from area to area,” the authors write.

Few killers bother to clean up the crime scene. In 44.6 per cent of cases, offenders took no actions to alter the crime scene.
Evidence was removed or destroyed in 36.3 per cent of cases, while crime scenes were cleaned 15.2 per cent of the time.

Most killers don’t disguise themselves. In 58.5 per cent of cases, offenders took no precautions to disguise their identity or to avoid leaving physical evidence. In 8.8 per cent of cases, killers wore gloves and 2.7 per cent of the time, killers wore condoms.
White, professional serial killers tend to move and hide bodies. All of the killers who moved and hid the bodies of their victims were white and 90 per cent of them had full-time jobs.
