This woman was found in 2008. Annie went missing in 2001. They look very similar and maybe we can get some more info from HPD regarding this woman and her circumstances on Monday?

She left many of her personal belongings behind, including her eyeglasses, Bible, winter coat, keys, wallet, credit cards, checkbook and her van.

Horne was employed as a secretary at an insurance company in 2001. She is married and has a young daughter. Her case remains unsolved.

Doesn't seem like she had a troubled lifestyle. So look for the perp in her surroundings.

Sadly I agree. I can't find ANY info regarding the circumstances of her disappearance

SEPT 20

RICHMOND, Va. -- Annie Horne disappeared from Richmond in January 2001.

The 37-year-old woman, who lived on Yorktown Avenue in South Richmond, was reported missing by her husband.

"She was a mother, a sister. [She] never missed work. [She] was very reliable. So it was uncharacteristic of her to just walk away and disappear like that," Richmond Police Detective Clarence Key said. "One of the things we tell the family and we tell the community — we don't forget. So even though it's been years, this is still an open case. And we're still trying to generate leads to follow up on with the hopes of bringing some closure to the family and to this case."

Anyone with information about the disappearance of Annie Horne was asked to call Detective Key at the Richmond Police Department or 833-RTC-FNVA.

A Richmond woman went missing nearly 22 years ago. Police now believe her husband killed her.

RICHMOND, Va. -- Annie Horne disappeared from her south Richmond home in January 2001. Nearly 22 years later, the Richmond woman is now presumed to be dead.

Now, Richmond investigators say they believe Horne's husband, Thomas Horne, who passed away in 2017, was responsible for her disappearance.

Her husband is now being linked to 4 other murders ...

Over two decades after a Virginia woman mysteriously vanished, authorities now believe her husband, who they have allegedly linked to four other murders, was responsible for her disappearance, reports say.

Read this exact article this morning and its got me wondering which other cases he might have been associated with? Did he travel for work or do they believe he may have harmed folks from Virgina exclusively? I am glad to see this case getting traction. I have been following this thread for a while, glad to see there are updates.

"Linked to four murders" seems like a weird thing to drop without details. Inquiring minds want to know!
Indeed it is.

In the artcle that I linked above there is an embedded video that is quite insightful. It also comments about him, "Thomas Horne", being linked to 4 murders "that have now been closed off" (the 4 cases marked as closed so it had to be more than a simple "link") ... So,they actually confirmed his involvement in those 4 cases and then closed the cases. What / Whose cases? Where? Where were they found? Not a peep.

Why aren't reporters asking these questions? The answers of where those other women went missing from and where found could lead to some insight as to where Annie ended up and get her remains home to her family. I'm really irritated by this.

As far as I can tell these two have never been compared. just about everything is close to matching up perfectly

Do we know what identifiers are on file for Annie? If they have dental records on file for her then it should be a quick confirmation or rule out.

Wow they do look very similar. I think it'd be worth submitting a tip. Either calling Detective Key at 804-646-5100 or you can shoot an email to tips@reopenthecase.org
