Our mod kimster tweeted the other day about learning to say Happy Christmas in a foreign language. Or Happy Holidays, of course.

It set me thinking. We have a real global mix here on WS, and could probably send season's greetings in more languages than most of us could count. So I'll start it off, with Happy Christmas - Frohe Weihnachten - greetings in German. With a touch of orange to represent Orange County, California, where dear Bob Harrod is still missing.

Post a card or just a greeting in your language. Lets see how global we are. I'd love to see 'exotic' cards from English-speaking countries too, from Jamaica...or South Africa...or India...just anywhere. But what's exotic to me may be just home to you. It will be special and enlightening to some of us though.

I'd love to see them all, wherever you are. :)

This is in Afrikaans, one of the languages spoken in South Africa (a dialect of Dutch), and also the mother tongue of Gerrie Nel
