in many MSM up thread.

"common law husband taking her maiden name"
totally, my assumption, as stated numerously and variously up thread based on Craig Smith's livestream reference as "not related" report

(which if true, is the first I've ever heard of "William?"
my assumption of he being the adult male who shared custody of the 3 children and being the suspect's dad.

I know as of yesterday, bio-mom's FB name was Rivera. Now it's White showing Van Alstyne as her maiden name.

All this family name mess aside, if that house was as dangerous as Craig Apple says it was (and I have no reason to disbelieve him) I suspect there might be more charges in this case.

Ok. The mom had the same last name on Facebook as her fiancee. I don't think that was legally her name, I think it was just the Facebook equivalent of writing your first name with the boy you like's last name over and over in your notebook in the 6th grade. Don't assume people have their real last name on Facebook, I know plenty of people who don't.

I do know of instances where men have taken their wife's name. The three reasons I can think of are
a) wife is a very successful professional and the couple wants to have the same last name
b) previous run-ins with the law
c) a rather embarrassing last name such as Dick, Wiener, Horelick, etc (Yes, these are last names of people I've actually encountered)

Okay well I'm even more confused than ever. Too many people with the same last name & no clue how they're all related, or if not related at all so I'll just sit this one out.

That happened to my aunt. She married someone with the same last name as her. It was confusing. It was always a mess trying to get all the Calhouns in order which is my maiden name lol.

She (ST - redacted) was one of the several people who filled up bags at the Hilltown Christmas Party. The annual event is a true treat for kids -- who spent the day playing with toys, eating cupcakes and pizza.

But, one little boy did not have the luxury to choose a gift this year is 5-year-old Kenneth White, who was murdered on Thursday. He and his two sisters' had tickets to the event -- unclaimed.

"Yeah, we kind of pulled that this morning. It was sad. But, yeah they've come here every year prior, and they would've been here again this year," said Sheriff Craig Apple.

And, that's why Apple said this event was almost necessary.

"The bottom line is we had a couple of hundred kids here with smiles, and it was good to see," said Apple.

Kenneth's two sisters weren't at the holiday party today. But, several people left donations of and toys for the two girls, showing just how well they are-remembered.

This case is heartbreaking, I feel bad for everybody involved. Being an aunt myself and raising my nephew, I know it's not the easiet thing in the world but even so no reason for this kind of thing to happen. I believe if I'm right and if I'm not correct me but I believe this boy had a twin sister, a younger sister and a older brother and a older sister. My question is does anyone know if all these children were under the aunts care? If so, It had to have been a family agreement not a order by court or custody because I'm not sure living in a trailer and having children herself that the boys Aunt would get custody of the five young kids only living in a trailer herself. I was thinking maybe she just has custody or is the guardian of the three youngest kids Kenneth, His twin and the younger sister but even so I wonder what made Kenneth a target for the cousin? IF all the kids were infact living there I'm sure it could get pretty overwhelming but I'm assuming the babysitter (cousin) could not have been in the right frame of mind when this happened. I wonder if the aunt often left the kids in the care of her teen daughter, If so rather she was 19 or not..three young kids is alot of work for a teenager. I just hope and pray whatever the case this little boys siblings did not see whatever happened to him taking place because apparently his twin and younger sister were both in the home when it happened. I pray this family can pull together right now and most especially, I pray for the poor little boy may his soul rest in peace this is just such a sad case.

Why take a little five year old out of this world? It just does not make sense to me at all. That poor boy didnt do nothing he was so innocent, said MR (redacted).

Gah. These children were doomed from the beginning. Regardless who was 'taking care' of them.

I have no words.

Every adult (including their bio parents) in that household needs prison time. yeah...even that 18, 19 year old 'child' give me a freakin' break.

Shame on them.

Albany County Sheriff’s say the home on Thacher Park Road where Kenneth White once lived was shut down by the Town of Knox Code Enforcement on Saturday. However, officials say the home is not fully condemned, and the family could possibly go back in if they get certain things fixed.

Kenneth’s sisters are also now in foster care.
