If anybody supports the Chicago Blackhawks - Andrew Desjardins is asking for help to find his missing Canadian friends Sam Caldbick and Cody Walter, who were trekking in Nepal and haven't been heard from since April 23.

Seattle teenage trekkers among the missing in Nepal

Bailey Meola and Sydney Schumacher, both 19, were trekking the Langtang Valley in Nepal when the earthquake hit, their families said Monday.

Five people from western Washington are missing in Nepal, but their loved ones are still holding out hope that everyone will make it home safely.

John Scurlock is a close friend of Lummi Island resident Jim Lane. Jim and his wife Doreen Richmond had been trekking in Nepal with their friend Jeannie Debari, who's also from Whatcom County. They haven't been heard from since the earthquake hit over the weekend, killing more than 4,600 people.

“At 7:52 PM I received a call from an unknown satellite phone. It was Spencer calling me from somewhere on the slopes of Everest. I screamed in elated excitement… Spencer said dad be quiet I’m on a satellite phone and I only have a few moments. Call my mom and tell her I’m okay I’m getting on a helicopter off the mountain to Kathmandu. They are taking lots of bodies out of here. I got to go dad I love you.”

Nepal earthquake: Four-month-old baby is rescued after 22 hours trapped under rubble

Incredible images have emerged of the moment a four-month old baby was rescued from the rubble of a building devastated by the Nepal earthquake, 22 hours after the disaster struck.​

Nepalese SAR, along with Los Angeles firefighters with US Aid, have rescued 15-year-old Pemba Lama from a pocket in tons of collapsed concrete where he had been trapped for 5 days. The rescue efforts had been going on for hours and hours.

Pemba told rescuers he was speaking to other survivors this morning, but only another, deceased teen has been found so far.

There were 6 other Los Angeles rescuers who helped that teen; they really have to get a mention. They were trained by the Search Dog Foundation and helped sniff him out. You can see from the organization's twitter feed they are so happy and excited. Hopefully they will be able to share a photo of the hero hounds later.

I do not know the back story. I do not know if their parents are still alive - but it is still a VERY moving image that will bring you to tears!

Meanwhile - America is OBSESSED over over the apparent ACCIDENTAL death of of convicted drug dealer - Freddie Gray - who was also convicted of robbery and assault!. WTH is wrong with this world?

Police rescued a 101-year-old man from under the rubble of his home on Saturday, one week after an earthquake hit his country, Nepal Police spokesman Kamal Singh Bam told CNN.

The elderly man, identified as Funchu Tamang, is in stable condition and police do not know how he survived or the extent of his injuries. He was rescued in Nuwakot district, just northwest of the capital, Kathmandu.

Here are some photos & a "missing" poster.

Basic information: Tyronne White (Ty) is 44 years old, male & Australian. He was last seen hiking in the Langtang region on April 23rd 2015. He wears several wristbands which might be helpful in identifying him. (See the attached photos for more detail.)

Here is a message & contact details from his brother which has been openly shared on Facebook and several other places: I'm still waiting to hear from my brother Tyronne white 44 from Australia trekking alone. He was last seen at langtang and had a chat with another guy and i quote: "I saw him on April 23rd. He was either going to stay in Langtang that day or make it up slightly higher. He was going up. We chatted briefly at the spot I was having lunch (in Langtang).
Higher up to Kyanjin gompa and onto the glacier most likely and that Tyronne looked fine and ready to go!"

I am just heartsick. Everyone is trying to remain optimistic; Ty is very self-sufficient and smart, quite an experienced traveler. Prayers for him, his family, all his friends (hundreds around the world) and everyone affected by this horrible event are very much appreciated.
